5.0 out of 5 stars Ancient knowledge brought to light!, October 3, 2005
This review is from: Secret Tradition in Alchemy (Paperback)
As complete a history of Alchemy I have yet to read. It is so much much more than the attempt or early science of turning base metals into gold or silver. There were secret or inner meanings to alchemy involving symbolism, metaphysics, and it's practice was considered a spiritual path. This book contains a universe of information on the subject and is well worth reading to anyone who wants to know more on this engaging subject.

WHILE the explorations and discoveries of science grow from more to more and are offering us at this time not all uncertain suggestions of still untrodden fields, on the threshold of which we stand, there are moments also when apparently quixotic quests, beliefs and hopes of a nearer or further past appear to us less extravagant than they did a few decades ago. Read the first page
