4.0 out of 5 stars Not Quite Like the First, but Still Good!
This movie is a little different than the first: the focus is on Eldon, not Scott; no mention is made of Pete; a new Buttercreamer, Eli, is introduced; and there are now girls in the Buttercream Gang. Regardless of these changes, "The Secret of Treasure Mountain" is still a good family movie. Eldon embarks on a treasure hunt with an ulterior motive to be a hero. He wants...

1.0 out of 5 stars Fat Kids Looking For Creamy Gold
This is the new movie where the fat butter cream kids go looking for secret, magical butter in the mountains. To help them along they way they have the Quaker Oats guy. Unfortuneatley one of the boys gets stuck in a crevice, because he is so fat from eating butter cream. Luckily the other boys have amazing strength, because they pick Miss Jenkins up off the floor about 30...

He wants to save Mr. Graf's house and upstage Scott for once. By the end of the film, Eldon learns what it really means to be rich and that he's been a hero all along. Sure, this film is a little hokey when compared to much of today's entertainment; but it is a positive alternative to those films. It has a treasure hunt against time and against a bad guy disguised as a friend, scriptural truth woven in, and lessons learned by all (including the audience). I would highly recommend this movie to anyone looking for a film they can watch with their family.

4.0 out of 5 stars Squeaky clean fun for the kids!, June 17, 2004
We watched this movie last night with our 5 and 7 year old sons. Yes, it is corny in many places and we "oldsters" found the plot pretty unbelievable, but the boys thoroughly enjoyed it and I didn't have to worry about them learning any new rude words or nasty sounds from it. The Buttercream Gang videos are wholesome entertainment that promote honesty, humility, loyalty, respect for authority and rules, a good work ethic, and polite manners---all with enough humor and adventure thrown in to keep the kids watching and wanting to view more in this series.

The closer that we approach to the witching hour the better this movie gets! This series has simply put a spell on my family and I! The characters, the story, and the special effects are not to be missed - and some of the suspense might even scare the younger wizards in your crew. There even is hidden, deleted footage at the end of the credits - lets just say that the window jenkins didnt become a widow on accident! Bubble Bubble Toil and Trouble eh?

5.0 out of 5 stars The Butter Cream Gang in "Treasure Mountain", December 8, 2009
It is a very good movie with great morals. My kids 3,6,7,and nephews 6,9. Enjoy both Butter cream gang movies. They teach good will towards man, and teach integrity and honesty. It has younger characters boys and girls that the kids enjoy watching.

This review is from: Secret of Treasure Mountain (DVD)
This is the new movie where the fat butter cream kids go looking for secret, magical butter in the mountains. To help them along they way they have the Quaker Oats guy. Unfortuneatley one of the boys gets stuck in a crevice, because he is so fat from eating butter cream. Luckily the other boys have amazing strength, because they pick Miss Jenkins up off the floor about 30 times a day(that Miss Jenkins sure is heavy) so they can help him get unstuck.
