When I first received my copy of Joyce Meyer's book, The True Secret To Happiness, my first thoughts were, "I've read nearly every book she has written and stood in line for hours to hear her preach, what else could I possibly learn from her?"

Whew.... where do I start?

I found the answers to the following questions in this book:

How can I truly enjoy life given my circumstances?
How can I be completely satisfied with where I am in my life?
How can I be happy with, and most importantly, how can I love me?

Joyce answers these questions by focusing on our relationship with God. This is not a book on how to be happy in the way the world perceives happiness but instead, it is about the pure joy that can only come as a result of our relationship with God. Girl, I got inspired and happy just reading through the chapter titles!

The clear cut principals that are given in this book are so simple that the reader may be shocked that they didn't think of it themselves. There are also humorous stories spread throughout the book that are sure to make the reader smile and I appreciate that given the subject matter. I learned to enjoy life one day at a time and to soak it up and savor it.

There are 28 short and easy to read chapters in this book. They cover every area from laughing, trusting through trials, and health to simplicity, raising the standard, and creativity. The type is fairly large which makes it easy to read and the layout is pleasing to the eye. It is complete with an appendix of scriptures that you can pray and memorize. This book gives hope and who couldn't use some of that?

This book is scheduled to be released on April 29, 2008. I highly recommend that you get a copy and while you are at it, bless that friend who could use a bit of happiness!

I have several Joyce Meyer books and they have all been wonderful sources of encouragement and helped me tremendously in my life. Joyce's books teach you how to live each day of your life and learn how to enjoy each day, no matter what you may be going through, relying on the Lord as your strength and source for all your needs.

This is great book to read in today's turmoil. From beginning to end it is a relaxing book to read and give great tips to achieve your own happiness.

I read the author's 21 ways to finding peace and happiness two weeks ago. It's excellent and I rated it a five star (would be six if possible). I checked the author's other books immediately and found this one. Perhaps my expectation had been too high or the subject/nature of the two books are similar that I had been a little disappointed. Hope you had read this review before you buy and read this book. Just go directly to "21 ways"! It's a great read.

Our women's group at church is meeting each week using this book and Joyce Myers' topics chapter by chapter! She addresses issues that we all are constantly confronted with in our lives on a daily basis. She helps us to put into perspective our lives in respect to God's wishes for us apposed to worldly standards. Many times the two conflict. In other words, the world places value on things unimportant to the standards of our Lord's. Joyce explains this in a way that is easy to comprehend. As we are driven to do more, earn more, have more and in the process we're loosing site of what really matters, spending quality time with our children, helping out our neighbors, being there for our aging parents, being good christian examples for others to witness and follow. I already plan on reading it again later (after we finish our class). I have many excellent points highlighted or underlined. I am recommending it to my adult daughters to read as well as all of you! Read & learn to enjoy a fuller & purer life!

"The Secret to True Happiness" is a call to a holier life which brings peace, joy and contentment into your daily existence. Instead of coveting other people's lives, this book will show you how to be happy with your own. If you are looking for spiritual solutions, Joyce Meyer has some good biblical advice. Each lesson she presents provides and opportunity for spiritual growth. She also encourages the reader to take responsibility for their life and to start making better choices. Throughout "The Secret to True Happiness" Joyce Meyers' encouraging and positive tone makes this book a pleasure to read. I can recommend this to you if you are a Christian looking for spiritual solutions to daily problems. After reading this book you may find happiness to be less elusive.

Great book! I couldn't put it down. Very well written and easy to read. It is a book that I will refer to often. This book will open your eyes and heart and change your life in the first chapter.

Its not Joyce Meyer's voice on the cd. Its some women reading it and her voice is very annoying.I could't even listen to all of the cds.I'm very unhappy with these cds.

Loved the book, read it as soon as I got it, wished I had stretched it out longer, wasn't ready for it to end!

This is an excellent audio book. I plan on purchasing many more. I listen to my audio books in my car and fully enjoy listening to Joyce Meyer. What a great way to start my day.
