5.0 out of 5 stars Pyrates series is awesome, January 18, 2007
A Kid's Review
This review is about the whole Pyrates series.

The books are about a fifth grader named George who finds a treasure map in his attic and then he loses it. His friend Derrick makes a copy with his photographic memory. Then George, Derrick, and some of their friends use the map to find more maps to the treasure.

In the second book, there was a funny part when a boy noticed them climbing down a building on a rope and he yelled, "Mom!...Mom! Someone's on my window!"

I would recommend these books to anyone who exists. These books are so good that I read them all in one week!

3.0 out of 5 stars PYRATES THE SECRET CITY, January 30, 2006
A Kid's Review
G.G.
This book review is about the book PYRATES The Secret City, written by Chris Archer.
The genre is fiction, but the book would appeal to nonfiction readers as well because it has realistic parts in it. PYRATES is about a kid named George who lives in New York City. He lives in the only house in the city that was built by a pirate. One day he goes into the attic and finds a treasure map. He soon finds out that the tunnel to the treasure begins at his house!!
The main characters are George, Shannon, Derrick, and Renee. My favorite character is Renee because she has lots of courage! I would recommend this book to anyone how enjoys an exciting adventure!
