As I watched the movie 'The Secret', I became interested in how the Secret worked. I tried to monitor my thoughts better, and it was very difficult to do so. Thanks to Kelly's Universal Mind meditation, my thoughts and life took on a new, positive turn without much effort on my part. This CD is similar to the first one, as another member mentioned, but it's different enough to be a good investment. In the first Universal Mind meditation, Kelly speaks in the first person "I am one..." while in the Universal Mind meditation II, she speaks to you "You are one..." I can see the need to have both formats played, and I have found them both extremely helpful. So, if you're looking to change your thoughts, experience abundant fruit in your life, then this is the perfect CD for you.

I bought and have been using the first Universal Mind Meditation by Howell and it's been great. But when I bought this I thought it would be different. After all, it's volume two! But it's exactly the same thing. The only difference is in version I, Howell does a complete 1-hour straight through. The first half is talking, and it goes right into the noise portion for another half hour. On this disc, it's divided into two tracks. The first is the talking track, and the second is the noise track. About 90% of what she says on disc 1 is repeated on disc 2. So I would buy either one but don't waste your money on both. A little disappointing and deceiving, I think.

this is great. i like being able to loop whichever part of the meditation i'd like to use.

again for those wanting to know what the words being said are, it is U.S. Anderson's words. It goes like this:

"I know that I am pure spirit, that I always have been, and that I always will be. There is inside me a place of confidence and quietness and security where all things are known and understood. This is the Universal Mind, God, of which I am a part and which responds to me as I ask of it. This universal mind knows the answer to all of my problems, and even now the answers are speeding their way to me. I needn't struggle for them; I needn't worry or strive for them. When the time comes, the answers will be there. I give my problems to the great mind of God; I let go of them, confident that the correct answers will return to me when they are needed. Through the great law of attraction, everything in life that I need for my work and fulfillment will come to me. It is not necessary that I strain about this, only believe. For in the strength of my belief, my faith will make it so. I see the hand of divine intelligence all about me, in the flower, the tree, the brook, the meadow. I know that the intelligence that created all these things is in me and around me and that I can call upon it for my slightest need. I know that my body is a manifestation of pure spirit and that spirit is perfect; therefore my body is perfect also. I enjoy life, for each day brings a constant demonstration of the power and wonder of the universe and myself. I am confident. I am serene. I am sure. there's more to the meditation, this is just the first part, and on this 2nd volume, the words are spoken to you...like "you are pure in spirit, you always have been..."

This CD is INCREDIBLE! I have both of them, but I like this one the best. It's more condensed (26:22) and it's spoken TO YOU which I found more powerful. The content is based on the work of US Anderson's book, "Three Magic Words" (You are God) which is also well worth reading. I recommend this program for anyone on a spiritual path.

"You are pure in Spirit, you always have been, and always will be.
Inside of you is a place of quietness, confidence and security.
A place where all things are known and understood.
This is the Universal Mind, of which you are a part, and which responds to you as you ask.
For all of life exists within you.
Here in your heart and mind, there is utter calm, where the truth is apparent, and the clamor of the outside world does not exist.
You listen to the voice of the Universe as it speaks within you.
It is the voice of truth and it guides you unerringly along your path.
The Universal Mind is perfect and you may rely upon it for complete guidance in all of your affairs.

You alone decide what you will think and feel, thus you decide your entire life.
Here in this magic center of your being, your word is law. You trust that the manner in which each of your thoughts manifest is in perfect order and perfect time.

The Universe has infinite supply. Perfect health, abundance and success are yours.

I have used hypnosis tapes in the past and while they were generally helpful, I rarely ever had the time to listen to them as I would never really sleep but stay awake an extra hour. I found Kelly's tapes and it is the best out there. I ordered the second version because the main track is 30 mins long instead of the usual 1hr. Yes, the meditation is basically a reading of the end chapter notes of the book "Three Magic Words. I highly recommend the book in addition to the CD because it gives you the foundations of why this recoding is so effective. Basically, this is not a guided meditation, but a loop of her voice reading statements over and over again. I have been in therapy for a year or so and my therapist was flabbergasted at the results. Somehow, my thought patterns, which would be somewhat negative, and repetitive, were gone; I became lighter and less worried in general. As with all books and tapes, it's important to remember that there is no magic solution and that anything works better if you commit to it and find other support to go along with it. I also recommend, along with this CD, her other CD "The Secret to Creating Wealth", which should actually be titled "The Secret to Manifestation". That one is a guided meditation that allows you to envision your ideal life, etc...Please note that I have cheated somewhat: I listen to the CDs through my ipod at work, about 1-3hrs a day on some days (at the beginning I really listened to it everyday, even on the subway or trains). I'm lucky that my phone rarely rings at work!

These tapes are great and they're also generic. They're meant for overall improvement. Once I reached that level of improvement I realized I wanted to change specific things. What I started doing was recording my own affirmations based on what I wanted to accomplish or change in my behavior in the style of Kelly. I used this book What to Say When you Talk To Yourself to guide me as to how to go about doing that and I bought a voice recorder Belkin TuneTalk Stereo for iPod with video - Digital player voice recording unit - black that I attach to my Ipod in order to record my affirmations with my own voice. This is a long process but if you're deeply into change and if you are looking for your own path, I recommend all of the above.

I listen to this with headphones alternating with the Universal Mind Mediation 1 every night while I am going to sleep. I have a great night sleep and feel amazing when I wake in the morning. I highly recommend this!!

Although the words spoken in version II are nearly identical to those spoken in version I there is one subtle yet important difference. Those spoken in version I are in the first person (I am...) and those in version II are spoken in the second person (You are...). This allows the subconscious to be reprogrammed from two different perspectives.

Both are excellent recordings. I alternate between the two nightly.

The last few years have been very challenging, everything was playing havoc with my mental health, resentment and anger was affecting my relationship with my husband and teens. I felt I needed to do something, I investigated "The Secret" and felt that it was something I could do instead of spending thousands of dollars on chancellors and medication.

I used to do Yoga when I was younger and know how wonderful that makes you feel, I went through Meditation I (Kelly Howell) diligently did the 6 weeks plus, and found that I was feeling better. Resentment (perceived wrongs), anger(no one was listening to me) and impatience(I need things to be done NOW) became almost non existent. I felt that there could still be some improvement as I still had the occasional relapse. I started with Meditation II and I feel like a new person. I am sure my family appreciates this as well! I have learned to relax and suddenly things are starting to happen, no need to nag so much to get anything done. I am trying to persuade my eldest son to get involved as well, but I think this is going to be a challenge!

This product has worked for me and I recommend it. Just follow instructions and feel the difference.

I found this meditation during a time when my life was overwhelmed with fear. I am a full time student, 52 years of age, and a follower of The Secret, but I would wake up in the mornings with this ache in my heart and fear of the unknown. I was not sure what this meditation was going to be like, but have used it every night for the last 3 weeks and how my outlook has changed. The smallest to the greatest area has been affected. My fear about driving to and from school, how I internalize others perceptions of daily encounters, and my grades have been amazing.There is a track that is quiet and I am able to use my own affirmations about the abundance in my life, how I am giving and receiving love and how my school work is improving. Thanks for the opportunity to express how this has changed my life, I have recommended this CD to many of my school friends. Liz Taylor

It's taken a long time for me to feel and see the effects of listening to this program. Faithfully, night after night, I'd listen to this program for months on end. After being single for what seemed like the longest time, I'm seeing someone who is smart, wonderful, and down to earth (among many other great qualities). After being unemployed for a long time, I found a job (even in the present economic climate). My relationships with family members are improving all the time. My outlook on life continues to improve. My life feels more full now than it has ever been before. I am experiencing a number of exciting new things all the time. I have had my share of negative emotions, and deep dissatisfaction in the past but those things have been washed away. I would credit this program with the lion's share of these positive changes.

I like this better than Kelly's UMM 1 because this is addressed to the listener, whereas in UMM 1 she uses "I" instead of "you." If you have a sharp critical mind like mine, you might find yourself doubting what she is saying in UMM 1 and finding numerous ways to discount it. The subtle change of replacing "you" with "I" made all the difference. I couldn't just discount her words in UMM 2 because they are addressed to the listener. She is telling you what are, going to the very essence of your being, and telling you that you can have, attract, and achieve greater things in life than you what you have now (among many other awesome and inspiring things) (Credit to Uell S. Anderson for writing these meditations). Once your subconscious starts to pick up the messages, you'll start to experience positive changes.
