I always knew there had to be more to the story than what the media and national political parties were telling us about the financial crisis that started in 2008. The media told us the problems came form poor lending practices and relaxed credit standards. When I read Kevin Freeman's book, Secret Weapon, I discovered that there are huge financial forces at work to try to topple our economy.

I first asked how this could be possible, since the media and our own Central Intelligence Agency were not even aware this was a threat possibility and the fact that we are being attacked in a three-phased attack. Kevin explains how Sovereign Wealth funds, those funds controlled by foreign governments mostly in the Middle East, could embark on major market manipulations by using our own market rules to evaporate trillions in wealth almost overnight. Kevin clearly explains what these weapons are and how they are being used against us. Some of the tactics include, naked short selling, high frequency trading, naked sponsored access, and the uptick rule. Each of these complicated financial maneuvers was used to bring down major Wall Street companies and has made our economy weak.

These same attacks are being waged in against the Euro markets and now we have entered phase three and this book explains how we can both protect our financial assets and what can be done to stop future attacks.

Mr. Freeman's book addresses the questions about the financial insecurity of the U.S. monetary system. The Occupy Wall Street crowd are right to be suspicious of the markets but their focusing on the wrong enemy. Mr. Freeman clearly details how the crash of 2008 was not just coincidental. Those that cost this nation trillions of dollars carefully orchestrated the manipulation of the markets using the loosened rules of naked short selling and credit default swaps. Unfortunately, Mr. Freeman points out, the current administration is doing very little to protect the financial security of this nation and the investors that drive the economic engine. Is it any wonder that billions of dollars are sitting on the sideline? As a 24 year veteran police officer, I was very impressed with the mountain of evidence Mr. Freeman compiled in his research. Don't just read this book, encourage everyone that is concerned about the health of their personal and the nation's economy to study it.

Real life can be more remarkable than invented tales, as in Secret Weapon, where Mr. Freeman reveals the means, motive and opportunity, all linked together, proving that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. The evidence is impressive; intellectually stimulating. I rate it 5 for its timely relevance. Is economic warfare a reality? Should our nation devote attention and economic resources to this topic? This book will enable you to make an educated decision and give you mechanisms by which you can help effect change.

This is a must-read regardless of which side of the political aisle you gravitate to. It's not about partisanship; it's about protecting our great nation from foes, foreign and domestic. It's about 21st century warfare, and recognizing that threats exist from places we've never thought of before. Get the book, and most importantly, read it. Then join the movement, spread the word, contact your elected officials, and make a difference. Do not sit passively by and allow things to happen. Our country's enemies will do no more than we let them do! Kevin's exceptional book is just the beginning.

This is a must read for anyone in banking or finance, anyone with any investable assets or anyone who wants to better understand the complete tactics of our terrorist foes. America is at serious risk for being financially destroyed and Kevin Freeman is the first person that I have ever read that had addressed the subject in a rational,serious and common sense way. This is not propaganda for either side, this is not a conspiracy tale. Thank you for writing this book. Please read and pass along. Hopefully we can get the government and the financial markets to head his warning before its too late.

I don't write reviews very much but I had to do one for this book. All I can say is "wow!" Anyone who does business, invests in, or uses US Dollars needs to read this book. Phase three of the attack on the American economy seems to be in full effect. Kevin Freeman lays out exactly what has happened and how we got here. It's like having an inside track into what was happening in 2008 through today. I was amazed to learn how vulnerable our economy is to economic warfare.

One of the reasons that the French were ill-prepared and subsequently outflanked and defeated by the Nazi Blitzkrieg in 1940, was that they failed to understand that military strategy had substantially changed since WWI. The French, still thinking along the lines of static trench warfare, were overwhelmed and unable to mount an effective counter offensive against the Nazi onslaught. It wasn't because they didn't have the fortitude to fight, but rather, it was a failure to understand that war strategy and tactics had changed.

In Secret Weapon, Kevin Freeman does an excellent job of explaining the new threat posed by our enemies and their unorthodox tactics of warfare for crippling our financial institutions. The book should be read by anyone who wants to understand the underlying causes of the current economic quagmire and how recent actions by the government and the S.E.C. have left us vulnerable to economic machinations. The book is at once a compelling history of financial warfare, a primer on market manipulation, and a disconcerting description of the means, motives, and methods of those who see the American economy as the new battlefield.

Secret Weapon shines light uncovering how sophisticated targeted attacks were made against America's vulnerable stock market. Almost half the planet's wealth was destroyed in the 2008 financial crisis according to a quote. The scary part is that this can happen again. Taking measures to protect and preserve America's financial markets should be top priority. Our nation's future depends on immediate action. This book helped me understand how markets were manipulated and put global financial puzzle pieces together.

In Secret Weapon: How Economic Terrorism Brought Down the U. S. Stock Market Kevin Freeman lays out a terrifying scheme about how our enemies used our own system to manipulate the Stock Market in 2008 to nearly destroy our economy.

Freeman is clear that we have conducted business on our own in ways that have made us vulnerable to outside manipulation. Continued deficit spending (and this hasn't gotten any better recently) has weakened us and forced us to go abroad to finance our bad habits. In addition. Predatory trading practices and government regulatory agencies that refuse to do their jobs (SEC) have allowed bad management practices to become the norm. The real question that Kevin Freeman raises is why the government looks the other way.

Waging economic warfare is not a new strategy. It is no accident that one of the targets of the 9/11 attack was in fact the Wall Street area, specifically the Trade Towers. Job losses in the U.S. after the attack increased. Freeman points out that the cost of the attack was in the $500 billion dollar range.

There is also evidence that Osama bin Laden and others converted much of there financial holdings into cash before the 9/11 attacks. This action made freezing their accounts impossible.

All of this is provided as evidence that the American economy has been under attack by Middle Eastern terrorists before 2008. It should not be lost on any of us that as the American economy weakens we're now hearing calls for reducing defense spending which will further weaken the country as a whole.

While much of what Freeman proposes is absolutely new to me, I'm not in a position to say that he is 100% correct. However, many of the things he points out I know are true simply from reading the papers and listening to the financial media.

I recommend Secret Weapon.
