From the supplier: US Secretary of Labor Alexis M. Herman has established three strategic goals which she plans to accomplish before leaving office. She would like to see a prepared workforce that can take advantage of job opportunities present in the next millennium. Another goal is a more secure workforce when the transition into the 21st century is made. Her final goal is improving the safety, wellness and fairness of workplaces. Herman is the first African American ever to head the Labor Dept. She grew up in Mobile, AL, and is a graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana.
