5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Read!, August 16, 2005
By
From the back: Handsome business tycoon Morgan Grady has just been voted News Weekly's Man of the Year. Eager to move out of the media spotlight, Morgan decides it's time he found himself a wife. So New York's most eligible bachelor proposes to the one woman he knows he can trust - his sensible assistant,Winnie Graham! Alone on his exotic private island, Morgan discovers that Winnie's composed exterior hides a storm of passion and desire. The sexual attraction that had always simmered gently between them suddenly ignites into an inferno! Morgan wants Winnie, but a woman this feisty will never settle for being a convenient wife. She demands nothing less than her cynical boss's heart
The usual Jane Porter with lots of emotions and tenderness in a perfect love story! Morgan Grady was prince charming and Winnie, I simply adored. Do read this one and all her others as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sensual, sexy and relaxing., April 20, 2006

The story starts with the heroes' wedding (don't tell me that this not an original beginning). Then, the story develops between actual scenes and flashbacks from the heroes. Winnie is about to marry Morgan, the love of her life, but in the spot of the wedding she realizes that she deserves more than a marriage without deep and passionate love from her husband to be. Now, Morgan has to prove he is good enough for Winnie. Watching Morgan trying is priceless. Winnie and Morgan made a wonderful pair. Winnie really knows how to stand for herself and fight for her values until the end. She will not fight for a bargain; she wants EVERYTHING!.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Breath of fresh air, because the characters aren't always fighting with each other!, March 14, 2006

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is one of those titles that you start reading, then keep trying to find a place in the house where you won't be bothered by anyone else, so you can devour the book. It amazes me how many people & pets suddenly require my attention when I am reading a great book.

The basic plot-line has already been given by another reviewer, and I really hate to give too much of the storyline away, because I wouldn't want to ruin the enjoyment for you. So, I'll try to use generalities to convey why I think this book is worth buying:

First of all, the main characters aren't always fighting--wow, imagine that! I really loved that, and it is much more realistic to how life actually is when we fall in love with someone. I loved the female heroine, she was amusing and endearing, and wonderfully flawed as we all are. The hero was drop-dead gorgeous, but intrigued by Winnie and was kind to her, even when he had reasons not to be. Nice!

They each had issues to work through before they could learn to trust their feelings for each other, which is also true to life. I respected Winnie because she stayed true to herself and didn't compromise on certain issues important to her, so the hero Morgan had to get with the program. Yeah, baby!

I really loved this book, and it is on my "Keeper Shelf" to read again one day.

Tip: try buying a used book, especially via zShops, where the S&H is cheaper than on Amazon Marketplace and you can often combine shipping on multiple orders. I'm saving a bundle this way. I compare my book choice prices between ebay, zShops & regular Amazon Markeplace, to find the best prices. Watch those S&H charges, they can bite you where it hurts if you aren't careful! You can often find better prices on eHarlequin.com, but only on the more current titles.

Happy Reading!

(REAL NAME)
The Secretary's Seduction is about a smart, sweet, insecure executive assistant named Winnie who is in love with her gorgeous and successful boss, Morgan. Like Winnie, Morgan has his own demons to contend with. The problem is, he barely knows she exists. That's all I'm telling you about the story. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS ONE FOR YOURSELVES! I've read my fair share of romance novels over the years and thought that I'd found my top 3 favorites, but this one takes the cake! Jane Porter does an excellent job bringing these two characters to life and, eventually, together. I could not stop reading it after I'd finished! I read it almost 2 more times after that! Could not get enough of this one! Looooooved Winnie because I could relate to her on so many levels. Morgan is my kind of boss, and I would take dictation for him anytime!!!! Buy this one right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome book, October 19, 2005
THE SECRETARY'S SEDUCTION is one of my personal favorites by Ms Porter. From the beginning it sucks you in and won't let go until the final page.

Morgan is rich, successful and he decides that Winnie would make the perfect wife. Winnie isn't exactly sure why Morgan would want to marry her, but he does his best to convince her.
