I have read many self-help gurus, and this book is the only one I have latched onto as a keeper. I have had it for several years now and am so glad I happened upon it.

The honest truth is I have never read anyone who has wrote with such sincerity and refreshing honesty as Barbara, and I am so incredibly grateful for the bravery she took in revealing what drives her personally - she actually reveals how she thinks and feels and how she effectively applies it to her own life and difficulties. And she is not advocating gimmicks or a new system fad. There is no franchise of lectures and products revolving around what she lays out. I wholeheartedly believe she is telling us the principles she has adopted to negotiate life in a more optimal and felicitous manner, and it is nothing like what this American culture advocates!

Her words of distilled wisdom have helped me tremendously! At occasional times of significant weakness or disappointment, if I can just remember to pick up her book and re-read it based on what I am facing, I can orient myself back to rethinking how I am approaching a challenge or problem.

This book is priceless and many thanks to Ms. DeAngelis for having the chutzpah to write it!!

I have battled depression off and on my entire life. I recently read this book and it was so helpful in making me understand my negative thinking patterns and how to change them. The book forces you to look at yourself and the way you approach the set backs in your life, and how to find happiness even when things aren't going all that well for you. She isn't preachy at all, she comes across more like she is sitting there having a cup of coffee with you. Very positive and motivating.

This book is AMAZING!! The way Barbara writes is just unbelievable!!! The book totally changed me internally. The way I see onstacles, troubles, and negative events in general changed forever. I see the "big picture" now rather than feeling that life is unfair to me. I now know that I am meant to live through everything that live through -- positive or negative -- that there is a lesson to be learned in anything that happens to me.
I am recommending this book to absolutely everyone -- READ IT, you will not regret it!

One of my first spiritual books.I have had many books on the topic of spirituality.This book is a GEM.Easy to understand and a simply excellent problem solving guide.After many years I "always" come back to this book.Barbara De Angelis is in my opinion a magnificent author.I have many of her books.Matter of fact I have more books by her than any other author.I truly recommend following the principles in this book.A must have!

I just finished reading the book..and after I just thought to myself=wow. So many things started to click and make sense..things that I have been struggling with seemed not as difficult to deal with. I reccomend this book to every woman-and man on the earth. There is so much love and warmth in the book and I think it was the best book she has written so far-I truly thank her for sharing this book with me:)

You know that saying "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear?" Well, Barbara had been here for some time and whenever I cleared out the old or "never going to read" books, she held on. Now that I needed her, she kind of called out to me from the bookshelf. I read the book in one sitting. I cried, I laughed, I found clarity and I am so thankful. This book can be lifechanging and she'll wait until you're ready.

"Secrets About Life Every Woman Should Know" is a good book to read when you've reached a point in your life where you feel like something is missing, but you can't put your finger on what it is, and you have a nagging suspicion that overall, things could be better.
The principles DeAngelis discusses aren't in fact "secrets." Most of them are principles that we know to be true deep down inside, but we need to hear them from someone else in order to believe them. For example, DeAngelis offers that until we love ourselves, we will not be able to give love to another.
If you start to live by these principles, your life most certainly will change for the better and you will be on your way to a greater sense of personal fulfillment.

I am currently reading this book for the 2nd time. It has been a great source of information and has helped me to realize that what makes me happy in my life is me and how I handle life in general. I can honestly say that I am a very happy individual and better for it having read this book.

I am online buying this book for my friend that desperately needs some direction. I really want her to read the chapter on how to make your mind your friend. She has a terrible way of distorting reality and I think this book with help her to become more aware of herself and how it affects her relationships.

If you lack self-esteem, don't love yourself or sabotage relationships, due to your projections, then this is the book for you. I am a Psychology major and I can only hope to help people the way this book from Ms. De Angeles has helped me and given me some direction in my life. I wish you the best!

I've always felt that Barbara De Angelis has an insightful, common sense approach to life. This current book is a wonderfully written compilation of life principles. Reading the book reminded me of my beliefs, and gave me an excellent perspective on life.

The title is misleading-- the book is not for women only, and the principles are definitely NOT secrets! I wish I would have had this book when I was in my early 20's!!

I have read this book many times and still use it as source when I go through tough times. It is a real eye opener to the truth. I recommend this book also to guys, because the principles apply to every person. I recommended it to my friends and they love it too. I also love the way she writes. Really a great book to have.
