I do accept the fact that a 60-min program is not enough to talk about doing business in China, so he was quite limited in terms of time.
But the title should have been the "Basics of Business Success in China", not the secrets.
In short, do not expect to sell millions of products after you watched this program.
You can do so, if you hire Dr. Chan to market your product, there's no doubt about that.
But what he is talking about in this program is just a little spark. Can you burst it into the huge flames, and sell your product in China and achieve a business success? If you don't have any past experience on China, NO, you can't.
Do not expect a lot.
But if your expectations are low, if you do not have enough time to read a 300-500 page books on doing business in China, then watch this. He summarizes everything you need to know. The problem is, as I said above, if you don't have any past experience on China, you will not know what to get and when to get from this program, and it's even possible that you'll miss his point in more than one occasion. You may not even understand what he's talking about.
The points made on the DVD provide great insight into the complexities of the China market and mindset. Attempting to enter the market without an understanding of the basic nature of ones customers is futile--this DVD provides invaluable information to avoid missteps. While the market may change, the nature of ones counterparts in China will remain the same; if you are not fully aware & prepared for the nuances, you are wasting your time and money. The principles on the DVD are geared towards selling to the China market, but they can also be applied to purchasing from China.
Dr. Chan's knowledge of the China market is unquestionable. This DVD should be on the shelf at every university and chamber of commerce office.
