This CDA Exam Guide was very helpful. I recommend it for assistants with background of assisting and/or graduation from an accredited school and need a refresher for their CDA exam. Information is thorough but might be too difficult for someone with no assisting experience. Overall, I found this guide essential in preparing for my CDA.

I've been a dental assistant for over 4 years and I just purchased this book to study for the CDA exam to get my certification. There are absolutely NO pictures in this book. I think it's a great way of getting a quick guide on what to studying to be a DA, but I would definitely recommend an additional text if you have no experience. I did purchase a book of Review questions for the exam and that has been extremely helpful. I've found I learn more by taking the practice exams and then reviewing the key with a detailed discription of what the answer is and why, along with why the other answers are incorrect. Best of luck on your exam!

Very disapppointed with this product. Very poorly written. Spell check should have been completed prior to the publishing of this book.
Not worth the money either.

this book is really good. it may not have questions in the book, but it goes over all the topics and subtopics of information that are on the cda exam

This dental assistant exam study guide is a very good investment for anyone who wants to pass the exam and get their license. It's different from other study guides because it doesn't just cover the stuff you need to know in order to answer the questions correctly. That is very important of course (what good is a study guide that DOESN'T cover the material?), but that is where most study guides leave off. Which is too bad, because for a lot of us, we need help in other areas. Like, if you're really nervous on the day of the test. No matter how much you've studied you're probably not going to score very high if you're sick to your stomach with anxiety and nerves and worry about failing. This book has a section on how to deal with test day anxiety and reduce it so it doesn't throw you for a loop. Plus there are a whole lot of secret tips in here about how to beat a standardized test. I had no idea that there are so many secret strategies to use to manage the clock, guess when you're stumped, find the answer that is wrong because it looks too right, etc. And those are just a few. There are a whole bunch more! Two thumbs up for this study guide!
