5.0 out of 5 stars Secrets of Chinese Karate, April 29, 2000

This review is from: Secrets of Chinese Karate (Paperback)
This was Mr. Parker's second book. It gives valuable historical perspectives, not only on the martial arts, but on his growth as a practitioner. Comparing this and his first book with his Infinite Insights works is a lesson in itself for Kenpo students. It is also good for advanced students to have it as a reference on the Two Man Set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book for students, January 13, 2002
This review is from: Secrets of Chinese Karate (Paperback)
This is a good book written by a martial artist for a martial artist. Evryone can benefit from this short book. The main benefit of this book for kenpo students is the two-man set depicted. This is a must for Kenpo students and a nice read for the rest of us.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic text, March 14, 2003

This review is from: Secrets of Chinese Karate (Paperback)
This work is based on the teachings of James Wing Woo, one of Parker's instructors in Southern Chinese Kung Foo. Most of the writing was done by Woo and the pictures are line drawings of him in action. The set in the back was created by Woo. It really has very little to do with Karate at all, or Parker for that matter.
