Here are the reasons I recommend purchasing her books and making a lifestyle change. They are easy to read and so worth it!!
1) FOOD CRAVINGS GONE:
I am down 10.2 pounds in the first 3 weeks of starting to implement changes. The BEST part is that I'm not hungry! The cravings are gone. I can honestly say this is the first time in my life I haven't been starving while "dieting." I have done Weight Watchers, counted calories, high protein diets, etc, etc. Restrictions would be manageable all day, but by 6 p.m., I wanted to eat anything and everything in sight. I would even wake up in the middle of the night to eat.
2) So MUCH VARIETY:
Bacon, steaks, chicken and cheese. That's all I can think of growing up in a household with a low-carb dieter. My step-father would eat low-carb for a few weeks or a month and get so sick of just eating meat and cheese, he couldn't stand it anymore. I think of Maria almost DAILY, because she has written that eating a diet of Yoplait & Lean Cuisines starves our bodies on the cellular level. Eating fat-free, light and process foods do more harm than good. Again, this is a must read.
My personal reasons for reading this book was to continue to seek nutritional answers for my suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and from time to time depression.
I have been using prescriptions medications for this for 10 yrs and through the last six months of applying these nutritional changes as well as the supplements I have completely stopped the use of one med and have reduced the use of the second med from 150mg per day to 50 mg per day, I still hold the goal that as I heal my gut and overall general health, that I will eventually be able to not use any prescriptions medications whatsoever. I have done all of this with the overview of my doctors. Which I recommend. Though, I find that most are resistant at first to the naturalpathic methods I am seeing that as my overall health increases it serves as a testimony to them and will hopefully spur them on to do their own research and pass that on to other patients.Read more ›
