This DVD seems to be a recording of a seminar done in England. It is missing a lot and seems to be in the incorrect order. The end result is that I feel Tom just skimmed the surface without really explaining about how the many types of inductions really worked. 90 minutes ISN'T really a lot of time to learn hypnosis.

For the type of client that might respond favorably to a direct, authoritarian approach to hypnosis, this might be a good video to watch and possibly learn a trick or two. Ultimately, however, a "quick" approach to anything misses the point. How "quickly" can you listen and tailor a client's needs to the strategic therapy you will use with them?

I won't disparage the methods used here, except to note that they seem glib. The participants, having paid for the seminar, are certainly in a receptive mood and quasi-eager to accept that they are getting their money's worth. I sure hope they did.

I purchased a different version of this video and watched it twice. Mr. Silver does a demonstration and then shows students doing practicums. He could have left out the student practicums as they are not instructive. But then the video would have only been an hour.

Nothing happens quickly. Approach hypnosis with the respect it deserves for the positive applications it can have as an alternative healing modality. Of course only if that's your goal.

I hope this has been helpful to any potential purchasers of this video.

Tom silver is a very good teacher in hypnosis. The technique is stressed within the video and is very easy to apply. "Instant" inductions do work and it just takes the confidence and a little bit of prep to really bring it home. I was able to learn these simple rapid and instand/shock inductions it just two viewings of the video. Good video well done.

The inductions are quite effective and nicely explained and demonstrated. Tom's manner is easy-going and he makes a point of ensuring his instructions are understood. I like this DVD very much.

similar to tom silver's dvd 'hypnosis inductions that work'. nevertheless, it is always worth watching a master craftsman in action. tom silver is an excellent teacher of his method of induction.

I NEVER GOT TO SEE DAVE ELMAN IN PERSON. BUT TOM SILVER AND GERALD KEIN SEEM TO ME TO BE THE TWO BEST REPRESENTATIONS OF ELMANS QUICK INDUCTIONS. AFTER VIEWING THIS DVD, I WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO RAPIDELY AND DEEPLY PUT INTO TRANCE SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS TO THEIR ASTONISHMENT. THEY STARTED CALLING ME A MASTER HYPNOTIST AND I LOVE IT.
