As a Harry Potter fan, she's fascinated with magic. So this kit was a natural. She plowed through the book, and immediately started trying out the magic tricks on us. She won't let the kit out of her sight now.

I purchased this book as a gift for my nephew. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it not only contains a small book but items (rings, a deck of cards, etc.) to use for the magic tricks. A neat gift idea for a young child who is into performing minor magic tricks.

It kept the kids entertained for awhile. I think it is good to teach kids about magic so when they become adults, they don't believe the religious 'magic' as if it is true. All magic, religious or not, is slight of hand, misdirection, playing on the senses, etc.

Did humans evolve from other animals, or were we created by 'magic' from God? Obviously, science is correct, and magic is not true. Teach them while they are young so they can avoid future pains of wrongful thinking. Teach the kids magic and myth, so when they later encounter a preacher, they can easily identify the same forms of magic and myth.
