Page 100 was Druck's description of the phenomenon of 'man to man' confidentiality. The title of that section will snag every man. Men hang out together even at family gatherings, sports events, and bars, according to Druck, because they could always say of any embarrasing revelation,"i was a little drunk." Druck likely doesn't men also they hang out in men's Bible studies and prayer groups where their easy candor creates absolute confidentiality without a contract making it safe to bare the souls. I hosted brown bag lunch groups in my office for 30 years hosting male graduate students. they trusted each other and "counseled each" other based on common past experiences, all without being drunk. I report my research in MEN UNDER CONSTRUCTION>
Druck's description of BEER BUDDIES FOR THE AMERICAN MAN provided the quote I wanted to verify! Some country western singer in the 1970s, I think, sang a song about confessing all of his sins in the bar over beer and his buddies "forgave him." I wish I had that song to google the text!
