A Beginner's Opinion,
By Write Idea Williams (Tennessee USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Secrets of Numbers; a Numerological Guide to Your Character and Destiny (Hardcover)
I inherited this book from my grandmother a few years ago and it is one of my favorites. It is very easy to understand and gives simple instructions to find your core numbers. As a teenager, I think it is a very good book for introspection even if you aren't exactly in to the numerology aspect as much. You'll be hooked after reading the first chapter and soon you'll be finding everyone's core numbers. It is sad that this book is so hard to find now and I feel lucky that I was able to get my hands on it.

Great standard text...hard to find,

This review is for the Book Club version. The full unabridged version is better still...but it's hard to find...This is an old book, probably written when even less was known about Numerology than is known now. My rating of 5 stars is based on a number of factors: One, this book is well written--it isn't overly obscure or jargon-filled. The language is clear and straight forward. Two, it's comprehensive. It includes charts on how to identify your core numbers, your cycles, etc. This is VERY handy when you're starting out...because then you can focus on interpretation first and calculation later. Three, the interpretations, the heart of any numerology book, are thoughtful and balanced. The authors avoid the doomsday-like predictions characteristic of many new age books (i.e.-astrology) written during this period. Special highlight: The chapter on Vocational Numerology which features a synthesis of many personal numbers. Well concieved and eminently useful. Despite it's age, this text still holds its own in the field of numerology. It's an excellent beginners book and a great addition to any experienced numerologists library.
