A great tool for people living with chronic pain. Dr Ghorbani's alternative treatments and remedies are ones that have proven to work and I have passed this information onto my mother who deals with pain on a daily basis. This book even includes recipes using herbs and spices that are easy to find. I was worried about the book being too techy and boring, but it is easy to read and put to work. If you are looking for different options (natural instead of chemical), I would recommend this book to you.

I’ve been using Noxicare for about for about seven months now and it is really great at helping my fibromyalgia pain, particularly in my lower back and shoulder areas. So when I found out that Dr. Reza Ghorbani, the creator of Noxicare, had written a book about natural pain relief, I was excited to read it.

Dr. Ghorbani is a Harvard-trained pain management specialist. His book, Secrets To A Pain-Free Life, discusses using alternative methods for pain management. It’s filled with tips and suggestions, including dietary changes that can help naturally take care of your pain without relying on over-the-counter medications. Many of these over-the counter medications have been known to cause liver damage when used excessively.

Dr. Ghorbani explains why he got into pain management, what pain is, the myths and misconceptions that you may have about your pain, and how your attitude can have an impact on it. He talks about lifestyle changes you can make, including dietary, vitamins, and supplements, as well as stress reductions and exercise you can incorporate into your life to naturally reduce or even eliminate your pain.

Dr. Ghorbani describes several herbs that he uses in his Noxicare cream and how you can use them in cooking to help reduce your pain. He includes several recipes with various herbs he recommends in his book. I’m going to be adding turmeric to my cooking which may have some good benefits for me.

I found the book to be really informative about pain management. I like the information on including herbs in your cooking to help reduce your pain naturally.

If you’re looking for more information on how you can help reduce your own pain, Dr. Ghorbani’s book, Secrets To A Pain-Free Life, is very educational. Even though this book was written by a medical doctor, its easy-to-understand language reads simply and without a lot of medical jargon.

I tend to shy away from books promising holistic treatments because it’s just my nature to be skeptic but, this was a great read.

Secrets To A Pain Free Life gives a lot of really great suggestions to relieve chronic pain. It’s also written with a story teller approach which makes it easy to read and understand the information presented.

Dr. Ghorbani focuses on lifestyle, eating habits, obesity and stress as obstacles to a healthy lifestyle.

He explains how changing these aspects of your life to healthier approach will help alleviate some of the chronic pain you feel just by being stress free.

Gotta love the herbal recipes too.

Over the past few years, I have experienced back pain. I was not sure if it was my diet, age, or over exercising. I have changed my mattress and the type of shoe I was wearing hoping to get some relief. Nothing really helped. Then I came across this book by Dr. Ghorbani and started reading through it hoping to acquire more knowledge about my back issues. I have to say, this book opened my eyes to a new view on pain. I found a great deal of information for my situation. For instance, there is a chapter on natural and herbal remedies. This book actually contains recipes!!! I have prepared some of the recipes from the book and my family loved them. I found that they are easy to follow. This book is very interesting and I enjoyed reading it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone!! ....LK

This is a refreshing and informative tool for people living with chronic pain. Dr Ghorbani thoroughly describes alternative treatments and remedies that have been proven through the ages for dealing with this condition, and even includes recipes that utilize the herbs and spices that are recommended. Though it is written by a physician, it is very easy to read, and covers a broad range of therapies, which are all natural and seem to be simple to utilize. I would recommend this book to anybody who has chronic pain, or has a loved one with chronic pain.

Dr Ghorbani is going to tell you in a very personal way what he has seen over the years has helped his patients (he is a Pain Management Specialist), by easing their pain and sometimes alleviating their pain with common sense methods of treatment.

He takes the time to discuss the History of Pain and the Causes, Types and methods of treatment for pain. He talks about Medicines, Alternative Treatments and Herbal Remedies. And of course, he talks about lifestyle choices and how they affect people in different ways - what might be a low level headache to you can be excruciating and even debilitating to others. Lastly, the part of the book that I really enjoyed was probably the last 1/3rd of the book. Dr Ghorbani goes into depth as he explains why those 7 ingredients that he uses in his wonderful cream. He tells us the history of the use of each ingredient and gives a list of benefits that it has provided (an example: Turmeric has been shown to help relieve asthma, speed up the healing of wounds and reduce the side effects and enhance the effect of chemotherapy - for pain it not only is a natural pain killer, it's also helps relieve depression and possesses natural anti-inflammatory properties). I also loved the recipes he provided - these herbs can used not only only the outside of our body through the skin - it can also be used from the inside, through nutrition.

This is an outstanding book and should be on the bookshelf of everyone who has chronic pain from Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, headaches, lower back pain, migraines and other forms of pain. I would think it would also be helpful for those recovering from surgery and even accidents that have changed a person's life.
