5.0 out of 5 stars ***** Never Forget: You Are Wise as a Serpent *****
No single book that I have read over the past 15 years offers the reader so much wisdom for so little time and money invested. 3.0 out of 5 stars In search of meaning
Secrets of the Serpent begins with the simple premise of looking within ones self for truth seeking and to ancestors for passed down knowledge. By delving into varying religions and touching on religious literary works, he seeks to connect the serpent to each and all. Philip Gardiner's historical knowledge and research is detailed and perspective based.

5.0 out of 5 stars ***** Never Forget: You Are Wise as a Serpent *****, July 25, 2006
This review is from: Secrets of the Serpent: In Search of the Sacred Past (Paperback)
No single book that I have read over the past 15 years offers the reader so much wisdom for so little time and money invested. Indeed, as an often quoted researcher, writer, and speaker on these topics myself, I was especially shocked to see the depth of knowledge displayed on the topic of the ANKH alone. As this is one of the true Old World secrets surrounding the science of soul teachings in the Mystery Schools of Egypt most recently brought back to our attention in the revelations of the late Harvard psychiatrist John Mack, MD in his classic text on UFOs and alien abductions as well as systems theorist Dr. Paul LaViolette's treatise on the Science of Continuous Creation. In brief, if you know the symbolic meaning of the 'crooked-cross,' you grasp the flow of life force energy throughout the cosmos and the cycle of life, death, and rebirth. More so, if you decode the ANKH you understand what is about to transpire circa 2012 with respect to WWIII, the rapture, and the Second Coming of Christ Consciousness at the End Time. Here is an excerpt from Gardiner's soon-to-be runaway bestseller: 'The Ankh is the Crux Ansata. A simple T-Cross, surmounted by an oval - called the RU, which is, simply put, the gateway to enlightenment. This enigmatic symbol of Egypt represents `eternal life' and was often found in the names of Pharaoh's such as Tut-ankh-amun. The symbol is often depicted being held by a god to a Pharaoh, giving him life, or held by a Pharaoh to his people, giving them life - this basically set aside the immortals, from the mortals, for anyone wearing or carrying the Ankh had gained or hoped to gain immortality. In truth also, the pharaoh was God on earth and so he held his own symbol of the sun and the serpent to his people - he was the sun, giving us life, just as it does in nature. It is the loop (the RU or gateway) of the Ankh, which is held by the immortals to the nostrils (as in the Biblical god breathing life into the nostrils of Adam.) If indeed these `immortals' are the sun, moon and stars, then this Ru device is indeed a gateway to the stars - or basically a gateway to what we were believed to return or become following death. The Ankh though outlived Egyptian domination and was widely used by the Christians as their first cross, but in this symbol holds a clue to the secret of the serpent.' In a nutshell, buy this book today and don't leave our home planet without it!

Dr. John Jay Harper is author of the book Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century and the DVD Science of Soul: The End-Time Solar Cycle of Chaos in 2012 A.D..

5.0 out of 5 stars Sacred Initiate, July 24, 2006
This review is from: Secrets of the Serpent: In Search of the Sacred Past (Paperback)
This book was exactly what I was looking for. I have been an initiate for many years and yet all of this had passed me by. Gardiner weaves the tale of the serpent through the book like a true adept. I can only think that he was a master in a past life. I read The Serpent Grail, his previous work and found it full of information, but Secrets of the Serpent is all that and more. Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code is even related and brought to confront the ancient powers of the mythical snake. Man, this answers everything. David Icke's aliens and Sitchin's planetary nonsense is now old-hat. Stand aside sirs, Gardiner has arrived!

5.0 out of 5 stars To will. To know. To keep silent. To read this book., August 14, 2006
This review is from: Secrets of the Serpent: In Search of the Sacred Past (Paperback)
The name Philip Gardiner has been brought to our attention more and more recently and then all of a sudden we receive a signed copy (wow) of this amazing tome through the post from the man himself!
If you are unaware of the subject matter then its gonna get you right between the eyes. On the other hand, if you think you know absolutely everything about serpent mythology, tough, its still gonna get you right between the eyes! Take it gently, one chapter at a time and let it sink in. Question every sentance. Scream at every full stop. Because thats what they are gonna do to you!
Philip, in his amazing litery manner takes you from pre history to the present, exploring the links between names, quantum science, bloodlines and even touches upon the holy grail. Is nothing sacred? Absolutely, but at least you know WHY by the end of this fascinating and absorbing book.
Read it if you dare!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Beliefs Challenged, February 27, 2008

(VINE VOICE)
This history and mythology about serpents and "alien agenda" will challenge many people's beliefs, and is not kind to the idea of organized religion. If you can accept that and be open to the mythology this is a very interesting read.

In essence prior to the doctorine of the Christian church, Gardiner reveals that all religions eminate from the most ancient of all architypes - the serpent.
