One Of The Best Sex Magic Books Available,
This review is from: Secrets of Sex Magic: A Practical Handbook for Men & Women (Llewellyn's Tantra and Sexual Arts Series) (Paperback)
One of the few books by this publisher that is actually worth reading. Very well researched. The author comes from an open-minded, pragmatic and rational school of thought which is rare in this particular subject. No moralistic preaching here. The book takes you through a series of physical and mental exercises designed to prepare the student for proper magical advancement (with the focus being on sex magic of course). Other topics discussed include: Sex with demons, the use of "deviant" sexual practices in ritual, telepathic sex, a crash course in ensigilization of desire, etc. Even though the quality of the information presented here is exellent, I have only given the book a 4 star rating because some fundamental aspects of sex magic are missing in order to make for a complete treatise on the subject (see Liber Kaos by Peter Carroll).

The best work on the subject to date,

Since I recommended this book in my reviews of Louis Culling's and Christopher Hyatt's works on the subject, I figured I should re-read and review this book. This is a very adult book in several senses of the term. Obviously books dealing with exploring sexuality tend to be seen as "adult" but this one is adult in another sense. It includes a very mature view of human sexuality generally and of magic(k) generally. Whether or not you intend to practice sex-magic this is a book worth owning. Most of this book is taken up with topics like "handling sexuality intelligently" and training exercises along with advice on magic in general. He covers sexuality and magic separately, only bringing them together in the final two chapters of the book. In short the author tackles genuinely difficult subject fraught with many perils (the occult poses dangers of self-deception as does sexuality), and delivers with a masterpiece of classic proportions. The coverage in this book is wide-ranging, from uses and problems with affirmations and positive thinking to sigil magic, and from necessities and dangers of sexual fantasy through a wide range of sex-magical workings. Very highly recommended.

It is a shame that companies like Llewellen could care less about the content of their books. They think more of the content of their pocket-books. If you would like to know what the "secret order" is, check out _FIRE & ICE_ by Stephen E. Flowers, Ph.D. Llewellyn still sells _FIRE & ICE_ but the author was told to ommit important material.
