There Is Always Hope,
By
This review is from: Secrets Of A Sinner (Paperback)
Natalie Coleman has spent her life feeling that whatever she wants is hers for the taking. She has absolutely no scruples when it comes to relationships, if she notices that a man is interested then she will give him what he wants to get what she wants. It does not matter at all if he is married or otherwise engaged. Secrets of a Sinner by Yolonda Tonette Sanders, gives us a peak at how Natalie operates and how important it is to make a change in our lives.
Natalie spent several years pursuing a modeling career and using men to get what she needed. However, her mother's illness forces her to put her career aspirations on hold and return to Ohio. Once her mother passes, she is at a standstill and knows she has to get a career for herself. After the man she took from her best friend discovers her motives, she is left high and dry. The only thing she has is a rekindled, long distance relationship with her grandmother, Big Mama, who lives in Mississippi. Big Mama proves to be a source of comfort for Natalie as she finds employment and becomes engaged in a promising relationship with a new man, the handsome Troy Evans. What Natalie discovers with Troy is that she is in love alone. Once again, she is at her wits end and she decides to do something that she had never planned. She goes to visit Big Mama in Mississippi. Once in Mississippi, Natalie struggles with her past and her family members. Many long buried secrets come to the surface and Natalie learns that the key to her future is in her past. She also discovers that all the sins of the past are forgivable and that with an open heart, she too can have a bright future. I recommend Secrets of a Sinner to all who enjoy a good, inspirational story of faith and forgiving. Angelia Menchan APOOO BookClub

Uplifting Story,

This review is from: Secrets Of A Sinner (Paperback)
Yolonda Tonette Sanders has written a very uplifting story that causes the reader to reflect on how even people who may seem like they are beyond help have a reason for doing the things they do. Natalie has done some pretty terrible things, but behind the shady actions and facade, she has a compelling story and again, a reason why she has chosen to do the things she does. Secrets of a Sinner is a redemptive story that will surely bless all readers.

Our book club read both books Soul Matters and Secrets of A Sinner by Yolonda Tonette Sanders. They were both well written. Secrets of a Sinner, I could not put down. Once I started reading it I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I highly recommend both books. They are very well written and not a dull moment. It was like watching a good movie. It kept you on the edge of your seat.

This review is from: Secrets Of A Sinner (Paperback)
Natalie Coleman thought nothing of pursuing a man who happened to be the husband of a woman she'd called "friend" since high school. Nor did she have a problem with using "what she had" to get what she wanted. When she met Troy Evans life was no longer about playing games or hidden agendas. This man made her feel special and the relationship brought her a sense of security she had never experienced before. Natalie had found love. But Troy, who was only comfortable with "no strings attached" relationships had a real problem with the "L" word. He left Natalie feeling rejected and hurt.
Natalie needed to get away from it all, so she went back to her hometown, the place she and her mother had fled far away from when she was a teenager. There she found comfort but also more hurt when a secret was revealed. Secrets of a Sinner was a page-turner! It was entertaining, touching and inspiring. I felt for Natalie all through the story and I was glad to see how her life turned out. This is the first time I've read Yolonda Tonette Sanders' work. It will not be the last. |
