GREAT INFORMATION!!!!! June 30, 2009
Format:Paperback
This is a great book for Tattoo Artists. One reviewer said it was copied form the other books, this is not true! This book has brand new information that none of this authors other books has. In fact, I have NEVER found the info in this book ANYWHERE, in any book on tattooing!

I also want to build my own machines and the chapter on frame geometry is really helpful. Frame geometry always has air-of-mystery surrounding it, and no one was ever able to explain it to me. Now I understand it, thanks to this book!

I highly reccomend all of Eric Alayon's books!

Straight forward, there are no other tattoo books like these. If you want good texts to accompany an apprenticeship, these are the one (I won't ever recommend learning to tattoo from a book but you could with these). These three books are a good foundation.

I found this book to be extremely helpful. I have another book by this author and both books are great. The author provides a lot of good information and accompanying pictures that are useful to any beginning tattoo artist. I recommend this book (and other books by this author) to anyone wanting to learn to tattoo.

need to know
This book has proven to be very useful for me as an apprentice. Things were broken down so specifically that when you're handling things it all clicked.

Total waste of money
This book is slim to begin with, and the type is enormous. But what really makes it worthless is the random, rambling way the content is organized. Read more

A good basic start for any tattooer!
All of Alayon books are very similar, so I would suggest just getting one book to start and that is: The Craft of Tattooing. Read more

Good book on tattooing
A little more advanced than the other books by this author. Has information that the others books do not have. A lot of good information about tattoo machines.
