Was a great read!!!!!!!!
Luciew was new to me and really glad I found him. Just downloaded Zero Tolerance and Kill the Story. If you like James Patterson, Robert B. Parker, Karen Robards, you will enjoy John Luciew.

a wonderful sequel to a great book. too bad you can't get it in actual print but it was still wonderful reading it on my ipod touch. looking forward to reading more books from this author. very seldom is a book so good and written in a way that you know when you read it that it wouldn't be good at all as a tv show or movie but yet it still feels like you're watching your favorite show as you read it.

I've now read Secrets of the Dead and Kill the Story and I just downloaded Zero Tolerance. I'm hoping Luciew willl soon write another. The only complaint I have (and the reason for four stars instead of five) are the mistakes in grammar, spelling, using the wrong word, etc. It's extremely distracting. So talented a writer really should get a good proofreader. (IMHO) But I thoroughly enjoy his books in any case. And it's definitly a plus that his books don't cost a fortune as do many books by less talented authors.

The author weaves a good yarn and keeps you reading. However a fourth star would have been earned with better editing. Spelling errors and improper usage takes you from the story. Shame on the publisher!

This was a good story unfortunately the ending was predictable. I enjoyed the characters and thought the story flowed well the reporter was more like a cop but the series seems to be believable. I am going to read a third Luciew book. The ending became apparent with about a quarter of the book left.

This is my second try at Mr. Luciew's work. He's just not there, yet. His plots are fun and start out fine. But, ultimately, he allows HIMSELF to get in the way. One begins to really 'get into' the story, but then disaster: first, the typos, punctuation errors and poor grammer ruin the meter. Second, in come the attempts at political correctness and his personal political bias.
Mr. Luciew, please get a good editor ... or any proofreader. Remember, the reader is the writer's responsibility. Next, remember that comma faults tell the reader that the writer is an amature. Finally, give up on pandering to political correctness ... it's just plain tiresome. Johnny Cash, that great American poet said; "if you have political convictions, keep them to youself." Stop getting in the way of your own prose. Do that, and I'll be back. I see great promise.

In the streets of Harrisburg, a man is killed in what appears to be a straightforward hit-and-run - until the victim turns out to have no identity whatsoever. Obituary writer Lenny Holcomb's ability to glimpse the secrets of his column's subjects leads him to suspect that his old friend, ex-congressman George Packard, may have had a hand in the "accident." But if so, why do all the clues point to Packard's slick political rival? With the help of ambitious reporter Jacqueline Towers, Lenny follows a trail of political spin and corruption to the highest levels of Pennsylvania government - where the right influence can make any problem disappear. Unfortunately, some very powerful people think Lenny Holcomb has just become a problem ...
In his sequel to Fatal Dead Lines and Death Notice, John Luciew doubles the action and triples the suspense. And the odds against Lenny Holcomb ever finding the truth couldn't be higher. It's a rip-roaring political yarn with an authentic, torn-from-the-headlines feel. You won't be able to put it down. Kill The StoryThe ScarecrowFatal Dead Lines |
