mind you this is all within the few minutes I took the wallet out of its prestigious packaging.
After using a regular wallet for so long it is taking a little bit of getting used to the Secrid Slim wallett.
Before i had to carry bag just for my wallet :).

Product Description

Secrid Slim Wallet is in our opinion the best choice for men who like to wear a wallet in their pocket. Just 14 mm flat and enough space for 12 cards and some banknotes. It is made of beautiful black leather. Tough men in our store usually choose this or the vintage brown version. Unlike the Mini Wallet, the Slim Wallet has no press stud. The Secrid Slim Wallet is the successor of the Secrid Mini Wallet. It works the same. With a click all cards slide out gradually. A special coating inside prevent the cards from damaging and falling out. Plastic cards get often squashed into wallets. Become bent when put in back pockets and the chemical interaction with leather makes them brittle. As a result many cards will break within their first year of usage. The aluminium Secrid card protector prevents this. The latest cards like credit cards, ID cards andadmission cards have a RFID chip inside. It can been copied from a distance up to 30 meters. The Secrid card protector prevents this possibility. This has been tested and confirms by TNO in the Netherlands. Secrid offers the perfect firewall for your wallet. The slim wallet from Secrid is so strong that you have a two year warranty on this credit card holder. This article is excellent to give to a man and is beautiful packaged in a luxurious black box.

    This wallet is way overpriced.

Mine is still doing just fine after 5 months of daily use, but the leather does feel a bit flimsy at times if you're used to a thick, sturdy leather wallet.

On the other hand, when using the slider to display the cards, often others do notice it and it's a bit of a conversation piece.

Not sure why people complain about the capacity... If you look at the screenshots, it's clear that only 6 cards max can fit inside the sliding mechanism. As far as the stated "12 card" maximum... It can actually hold much more than that. Sure, they won't all be easy to access, but that's what the mechanism is for. I keep 5 commonly used cards (ID, credit, debit, etc) in the mechanism, another 5 plastic cards in one panel, and some thinner plastic and paper cards in the 3rd panel along with cash. There is also an internal folding plastic sleeve that you can use to hold cash, business cards, or even plastics.

All that being said, it is a little difficult to carry cash with this thing. That's not a problem for me since I only carry a few bills at a time, but they are kind of a pain to fit into the plastic sleeve. Instead, I keep them folded (in half, twice) in one of the card panels along with my thinnest cards. This makes it more difficult to access, but the whole reason I bought this wallet is because I mostly use my cards and it's perfect for that. That also frees up the internal sleeve to use for receipts business cards, or 2-4 plastic cards depending on their thickness.

My only real complaint is that the material doesn't feel that durable. It's certainly not cheap material, but I think the goal was to make this thing as thin as possible so naturally it's not going to hold up as well as a thicker wallet. Mine is still doing just fine after 5 months of daily use, but the leather does feel a bit flimsy at times if you're used to a thick, sturdy leather wallet. I guess that's the price you pay to not feel like you're not carrying a rock in your back pocket every time you sit down.

To sum up, I'm very happy with my purchase but it's not for everyone.

I had higher hopes for this wallet. After months of searching shops and online stores this wallet seemed to offer good styling and features I wanted. I've had it for nearly a year now and can say it's just ok but far from what I wanted. The plain black leather is all that I was able to select from (rather than the textured skins) and looks cheap. The aluminum insert is hard (shocking, I know) and feels like sitting on a brick.

On the other hand, when using the slider to display the cards, often others do notice it and it's a bit of a conversation piece. That mechanism works nicely. The inside leather pocket not as much. The fit is a bit tight, any paper cards are not suitable for it.

If I had seen this in a physical store, I would not have purchased it. Since my previous wallet was well worn, I kept it until a better option comes along.

In short, if you're looking for high-style and quality, I'd keep looking. As for a unique look, small-ish size and a bit of interest when in use, go for it.

I received a brown wallet instead of the black one I ordered. The listing, the invoice, the email, external packaging and even the internal black box packaging all were labeled black... Until we opened it, and it was a soft brown.

I am still waiting for my refund after returning the product several months ago. Description said it could hold 12 credit cards. However they didn't tell you that at least half of the cards had to be placed in hard to get to places like underneath the money. I was very disappointed with this product!

Bought it to give it a shot. did see some bad reviews but mostly OK reviews. Once I got it, I immediately felt how thin the outer shell is. Its so thin that when you have the flap closed, it likes to venture off in other directions. It does not sit flat and perfectly square with card holder. That was the deal breaker for me. If the outside cover was more rigid, it would be a better buy. Secondly, if you put more than 4 credit cards in the loader, it will not work properly. I stuck 5 in and one would always get stuck. All the cards were rubbing up against each other. In time, the embossed cards would have been damaged. mind you this is all within the few minutes I took the wallet out of its prestigious packaging. I didnt evaluate any further as I was quite disappointed at a 90 dollar wallet that fails in every aspect of being a wallet. The concept is innovative as well as tried and true with the slot load card holder. It just didn't work for me. Hopefully it will work with you.

I wanted a wallet that can hold credit cards and also act as an RFID shield. Regular wallets that provided the RFID shielding tend to be too big so when I came across Secrid Slim Wallet, I had high expectation that it would be slim as well as provide the necessary protection.

As it turns out, I can only fit 5 credit cards instead of 6, mainly because I am in the United States and all credit cards in the United States still have raised account numbers for backward compatibility. With the raised numbers, I can only fit four cards if they are all oriented the way, and five cards if I alternate the card orientation with one card right side up and the next one upside down. I am unable to out six cards in it. The cash pocket is also disappointing as I can fit at most 5 bills before the wallet gets so bulky that it will not stay close.
