4.0 out of 5 stars His best since "We Come Strapped"
Though the previous reviewer may disagree with me, I think that this is definatley Eiht's best album since "We Come Strapped". 2.0 out of 5 stars Is not what I remember
Well this CD is ok. But I wish people would really review the products much better. Some people might say that this CD is MC Eiht one of his best albums, but I think that this is not true. Even do you get MC Eigt rapping in one or two song is not worth bying this CD. I don't remember MC having a weak Cd like this one. I Remember him as a hard ass rapper and hard ass rimes...

Though the previous reviewer may disagree with me, I think that this is definatley Eiht's best album since "We Come Strapped". I was starting to lose any faith I had left in Eiht after he dropped the wack "Last Man Standing". But, upon release of "Section 8", I began to regain hope. The cover didn't portray Eiht in a flossy silk suit as his previous album had, it was just Eiht chillin in his yard with a t-shirt and jeans. Now I was begininng to think Eiht had gone back to his roots. Upon listening to the album, I was right. The production was back to the way we heard it on "We Come Strapped", with the tight piano licks and synth keys, and the lyrics were back to the old school hood stories that made Eiht famous. Not since "We Come Strapped" has Eiht had an album were almost every song is a standout. I do however agree with what the previous reviewer said about "Automatic" being a weak single. Most of the other songs on the album are catchier than it is both in terms of production and lyrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eiht's Best, July 5, 1999

I know that a lot of people don't agree wit me, but I think that "We Come Strapped" wasn't all that, I mean, it's nice, it's some real gangsta sh*t, but all the tracks are the same. This one is very versatile, he got slow songs, he got that hyped up gangsta sh*t, and the tracks you can bob your head to and chill. The tightest songs in my opinion are "Living N Tha Streetz", "Caution", "Days of '89", and "Thicker Than Water". "Automatic" his first single isn't that good, but the rest of the album is dope, so pick this one up if you're diggin Westcoast hip hop.

5.0 out of 5 stars WEST SIIIIDE!!!, June 26, 1999

I have to say hat this album was packed with west coast flavor that's why it was so good! MC Eiht didn't sellout. And this album is much better than his older album "Last Man Standing". Songs like "Automatic" are very tight and have a solid producton layer. Also hilarios interludes such as "Section 8" were very funny and entertaining. But this is just one small step to bring west coast rap back to the forfront of Hip-Hop!

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Eiht, April 16, 2000

Absolutely Eiht's best work.Textbook matterial. This is one artist that knows how to paint the most graphic of pictures in your mind. This is probrably the best move of his career, hooking up with Hoo-bangin', he sounds more comfortable, unlike Last Man Standing. "Jeah". I really enjoy this album because he didn't foget the classic style that got him to the dance. If you go through all the other albums from Streiht Checkin' 'Em on up, you'll find that he has tranformed to some kind of "Ultra-G" while keep true to creating excelent music. "The underground hero yes ya'll is back. My costume a khaki suit and a blue cap. Automatic."

5.0 out of 5 stars CLASSIC - His best album & 1st on Hoo Bangin, November 2, 2004

This review is from: Section 8 (Audio CD)
Eiht is back after a 2 year break for his 4th solo album and this is Eiht's classic best album. All the songs on here are great except one and it's one of my all time favorite albums. It has a number of classic songs as well. Production is also great and is done by Binky MAck (3 songs), Eiht & Young Tre (2 songs each), and DJ Slip, Bird, Fredwreck, and Black Hole each do 1 song. GEEEAH!!! If only he got the airplay he deserves at least on the east coast (couldn't say for the west -much like Spice 1 or DJ Quik and many other Cali rappers) he'd have at lasat 10 million solo records sold and a bunch of platinum plaques.

#2 - 10 (classic)
#3 - 10 (classic slower song)
#4 - 10 (classic)
#5 - 10 (classic)

5.0 out of 5 stars LocC MC Eiht Back!, November 6, 2005
This review is from: Section 8 (Audio CD)
I wish they'd let you review 8's new Album Veteran's Day, so I'll just review Section 8! If you like hard Gangsta Funk beats, and heavy lyrics, go for this Album! Hardest song is Murder At Night, for sure! MC Eiht drops much heavier rhymes than Ludacris or Jadakiss, jus ta let u know! Also, Gangsta Rap died in 1996, and MC Eiht was in the Rap Game since 1989!

Good Album best songs are 2, 3, *4, 5, *7, 10, 11, 13 (feat. Ice Cube!), & 14!
