I purchased this mailbox about two years ago. The locking keypad electronics failed about 3 months ago. I must also mention, besides the electronic lock and keypad no longer working, the mailbox leaks water into this keypad area, so the hinge which opens the door to reveal the keypad is rusting. I contacted ETL, the company that is listed as manufacturing the mailbox on the paperwork that came with it and spoke with Jessica. She said I had to replace the entire door at a price of $23.00 plus shipping. I ordered the door and was told it would ship in 1-2 weeks. A month later I contacted the company and spoke with Jessica again to find out why I hadn't received my door. She told me they hadn't gotten the order from their supplier and it should be in soon and they would ship the door to me. After three months, I called again and spoke with Jessica. She said that they didn't get as many doors as they had expected in their shipment and could not send me a door because they had to save the ones they had for the under-warranty customers. I told her I had been waiting three months for a door and I wanted a door to fix my mailbox. She then said they actually didn't have any doors and that they would sell me a new mailbox for $99.00 plus shipping. I told her I was not going to spend the money for a mailbox which did not last in the first place and for which they could not provide replacement parts. I asked to speak with a manager to find out why I couldn't get a replacement door. I was told a manager would tell me the same thing and there was no one I could speak to. I asked to speak to the owner and Jessica told me the owner would not be available to me. I told her I would be writing a negative review about their product and at that point was allowed to speak with a manager.Read more ›
