Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Security just got easier. SecureView is a camera in a light bulb that screws into your indoor light fixtures and delivers video to your television or VCR. This SVS-2 system includes the light bulb camera, our exclusive companion decoder, and RCA cable for connecting to your own TV or video recorder. There are no wires to run, no holes to drill, and no antennas required.

How It Works
Inside the bulb is a sophisticated low-light monochrome camera coupled to our exclusive IRFS patented circuitry. The video signal is encoded by this circuit fed directly into the 110-volt power line. In other words, you are transmitting and receiving the video signal over you home or small business existing electrical wiring.

The bulb does not produce light because the electronics inside would cause it to get to hot. You can use as many receivers as you like, but you must turn off one camera and turn on another camera in order to use multiple cameras. Only one camera at a time can be used on the same electrical panel in a home or business. Move the camera any where you wish and use multiple add on decoders to view the video image on any TV or record on anything with a video in.

Now you too can own your own affordable, covert security surveillance system that looks like an outdoor flood light. It can also be used in a desk lamp for portability to move it anywhere.

It's as Easy as 1,2,3

  1. Screw in the SecureView into any light fixture.
  2. Plug in the decoder into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Connect the RCA cable to any TV or recording device.

Package contains camera in a bulb, decoder, SecureView Your On My TV widow decal, and one RCA cable. All you need is a TV, monitor or VCR, and a light socket.

How We Do It
That's our patented secret. The video signal wraps around the electrical wiring completely separate from the AC voltage. We have over 17 patents and other patents pending covering the IRFS process.

How Far Can The Video Signal Go?
Distances in your home or small business will vary based upon how the buildings electrical is wired.

Do You Get Interference Like RF Video?
No. Thats the remarkable difference with SecureView. Our technology does not interfere with refrigerator motors, heater elements, etc. It will see past 99% of the powerline junk.

How Much Area Can I View?
SecureView has an 85-degree wide angle view. Your viewing range in daylight extends 100 yards or more, depending on the amount of detail you need to view. Obviously, something as large as a car or a truck can be recognized at a greater distance other than a smaller dog or cat. Wide angle viewing is the best all around choice for your security camera. In total darkness, the camera is sensitive enough to provide a readable image with bare minimum lighting. The built in invisible white infrared allows the SecureView to see in total darkness up to 30 feet.

Can I Record the Picture?
Yes, you can. Simply plug the RCA connector from the decoder into any recording device with the video input connection. Plug it into your VCR, DVR, or camcorder and record instantly.

1.0 out of 5 stars Did not work for me, August 9, 2008
This review is from: SecureView Outdoor Camera & Decoder (Personal Computers)
A simple and useful idea, but the image quality was not acceptable in our home. I tried a number of different electrical outlets and TVs, but none produced a clear enough image to be practical.
Also remember that this camera replaces a common floodlight. So, for the camera to be operational your floodlights need to be turned "on" to get an image. For us, this means that ALL the floodlight must be on to get an image because they are all on the same switch and go "on" and "off" together.

This camera works wonderful for us. I give it a five star rating. No complicated cables to install. Quick, easy and works terrific. This is the second one we bought. Our daughter liked how well it worked for us that we bought one as a gift for their home. Picture is very clear and we have that added sense of security with it! Five star rating!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this security, September 20, 2008
This review is from: SecureView Outdoor Camera & Decoder (Personal Computers)
I bought 4 of these I thought I needed to put the bulbs in both sockets
One did just fine and it really works great.
SEES IN TOTAL DARKNESS
What a relief, I feel so much more secure since I bought this
and I saved a lot of money by not having Brinks put their cameras in the house and outside.
Now I will know if anyone is around the house or messing with my car in the driveway.
The police in my area love it too.
