I was reluctant to purchase this book since there was no comment online. Finally I just purchased it as I detected no alternative, and felt fortunate that I have made a wise determination. This book provides a beginner with an excellent framework for US securities regulations and structure of SEC departments and their functions. I am a junior in a law firm, and, based on this book, I have just found that research in this field has become much much easier. I love the nutshell series.

A lot of valuable info in a small package. Overall, I am very happy with it. Now, if I can just get time to read it.

Most law schools don't offer much in the way of securities law training, and unless you were a business major in college, this area might be foreign to you. I encourage anyone with an interest in business law to pick this up as a useful read for preparing to practice, or to bone up on the law for a case that touches on securities issues. I bought the Kindle version, which is great, because I can literally carry it around with me.
