Buying an old car requires that you get after-market guides for repair. Haynes covers not only the drive train and bodywork, but esoterica like door locks and after market sound system retrofits. Required reading for old Bimmers like 2800s and 3.0s. Note that this book excludes coupes, but a lot of the info is transferable.
