What an awesome book! Following Nurny on his journey to reach the top is a GREAT way to teach kids about teamwork and to never give up on their goals. The pictures are great as well, really pull you into the story! I would recoomend for children of all ages!

I loved this book! The pictures and the words combine in a wonderful way to make a beautiful reading experience. I hope this book makes it into the hand of children everywhere.

This is a wonderful story of taking things one step at a time. I love the relationship between Nurny and his companion. My daughter makes me read this book to her almost every night. I have not been able to find any other books by this writer, so I assume this is his first. I hope to see many many more. Sean Thomas is truly talented at writing plain language that appeals to children. This combined with the prophetic wisdom of slow and steady steps to reach your goal, makes for a timeless treasure. Kudos to you Mr. Thomas.

This was a great book for my kids. We love to expose our children to different cultures and Sean's book was a great look into Indonesian culture. Loved it!!

Mr. Thomas has created a world that captures children's imaginations. An American author introducing children to Indonesian culture is a rarely seen benefit. This is a book that you CAN tell by its cover as the colorful, yet simple world portrayed on the front is the perfect match for the beautiful and simple tale told within.
