This is a very good, thorough, and informative text that covers all the basics of sedimentology and stratigraphy. It is frequently used as a textbook in such classes, including when I took it at Baylor University. It is easy to understand, well-organized, and very clear.

This is a pretty interesting book. The pictures are all black and white but manage to be interesting. Also, the material is very nicely presented.

I'd suggest buying for an undergrad Sedimentation/Geology course.

Great text but it reads like a novel!
After several chapters it gives summaries that are great for a quick review.. love this text

I used the newer 2nd edition of this book for my undergradute Sedimentary/Stratigraphy class. It proved to be very readable while still providing a good base of knowledge. My professor stated that little was changed from the earlier 1st edition so I purchased this copy as a reference book for my collection. Tremedous book for the price.

I bought this book for my sedimentary and stratigraphy class. This book has been a great supplement to the lecture. The writing is a little dry and the pictures are all in black and white, which can make it hard to get through.

The book arrived in just under 2 days - very fast! Very happy with this purchase.
