I have liked Jennifer Penas music from day one. And as much as people want to compare her to Selena, shes not the same,.. if not BETTER. But like I said I have heard her voice evolve from a untrained sound to almost a Celine Dion. I have the last 3 albums and Seduccion just makes you go WHOOAAA (puberty) JK. I mean I could switch back n forth from the other CDS but Seduccion has you glued to your sound box. I give great kudos to Jen on mastering this cd with such a powerful voice with a beautiful personality and persona along with it. Not many artists can have that all in one package like you.

Hi there. When I bought the Cd, I was expecting more ballads. As you know, Jennifer Does really good on those type of songs. I am not really into the MEXICAN REGIONAL TYPE SONGS. I like LATIN POP MOSTLY. So I was a little dissapointed that it has less than half of the BALLADS, but EVERY SONG has great LYRICS. THE LYRICS save everthing else. I strongly urge you to BUY THIS CD. Perhaps after all, you will want to dance to the beat of the other songs. Just in case you did not know, Jennifer's current SMASH HIT SINGLE: Vivo y muero en tu piel" Is NUMBER 1 on the BILLBOARD TRACKS. And her Album debuted at Number 1 too. So there you have it. A great CD to enjoy.

Jennifer Pena, though well known to Latino music audiences and fans of Mexican/Tejano music, is pop music's "best kept secret" in English-speaking North America!
Seduccion is her 6th CD since 1996. It's available as a CD only, or packed with a DVD of music videos, and behind-the-scenes footage. It follows her very successful 2002 CD titled "Libre", which contained the hits "A Fuego Lento" and "Vamos a Mundial."
I have all of her CD's and can say honestly that each one offers at least 2 or 3 masterpieces, yet each new CD is even better than the one before.
Jennifer is only 20, and as she has matured, her voice has gone from wonderful to fabulous. She has the voice of an angle, and is instantly convincing and unforgetable. The songs are touching and heartfelt ballads of love--innocent but intense.
For "American" audiences, Pena's songs are a gentle blend of pop, country, and soft rock, sung in beautifully pronounced Spanish (a treat for students of Spanish who also have a heart and soul).
"Seduccion" is a great way to discover Jennifer Pena: cuts 1,2,4,7,9 and 10 all became instant favorites of mine.
If you don't know Jennifer yet, because you're listening to what the American radio stations decide to feed you, you're missing so much! (It's no accident she's Number 1 on Billboard's Latin Chart!)
Listen to "Vivo Y Muero En Tu Piel", "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo", "Aunque Me Cueste La Vida", "Si Yo Me Vuelvo A Enamorar", and "Cumba Iho." Then buy "Libre" and discover "A Fuego Lento."

'Seducción' is certainly a great follow-up to an album as great as 'Libre'. Jennifer Peña's songs are all great even if Tejano is not your genre of choice. I'd even recommend the CD to folks that don't understand Spanish because Jennifer's voice is just that superb.

My favorite tracks would have to be 'Vivo y muero en tu piel', 'Cumbia IHO', and 'Hasta el fin del mundo'. 'Vivo y muero en tu piel' is the first single from the CD and the CD contains three versions for you to be able to choose one to fit your taste. If you manage to get your hands on the CD single or promo itself, you can probably find another version of the song. 'Cumbia IHO' will have you dancing probably more than any track on 'Libre' or 'Seducción'. Finally, 'Hasta el fin del mundo', my personal favorite, is great in its ballad and cumbia forms. Jennifer's voice is absolutely superb in this song. As 'Hasta el fin del mundo' will likely be the second single, I look forward to hunting down a copy of the single which will undoubtedly have more versions of the song. Just because I name these songs as my favorites does not mean I dislike any of the tracks, mind you.

If I had one gripe about the CD it is that the liner notes do not contain the lyrics. They contain plenty of great photographs of Jennifer, but written lyrics are a nice thing to have.

What do you think of when someone asks you to describe seduction? As I read the title of Jennifer Pena's new album, I was left wondering what seduction meant to me? At the same time I was left wondering what it meant to Pena?
When I was able to hear Pena's first single entitled "Vivo y muero en tu piel". Right off, I knew the song was going straight to number 1 (which I later researched and was confirmed by billboard). "Vivo y muero en tu piel" is offered in three different styles of music. First off, Pop; which is a mainstream ballad.(Track # 1)Secondly, Track # 11 is presented in a cumbia style, and lastly, Track # 12 is presented in norteno style. If one can remember her previous smash hit "El dolor de tu presencia" the song was presented in the same three styles. I personally feel that diversing the record is a smart choice. As a consumer, I feel that Ms. Pena delivers what she knows works for her, and her audience.
The songstress collaborated with Emilio Estefan,(which is Gloria Estefan's husband) in the production of Track #6, entitled "Como saber". I think the track is fantastic. Some others producers include Kike Santandera, which produced "Cumbia Iho", and "Aunque me cueste la vida". Rudy Perez, which produced "vivo y muero en tu piel",Track #3 "Para olividarte de mi", Track #4 "Hasta fin del mundo" (Which is also presented in Cumbia Norteno;track #13), Track #5 "Ya veras", Track #7 "Si yo me vuelvo en enamorar", Track #8 "Fuera de mi vida" and Track #9 "No hay nadie igual como tu".
Jennifer Pena made her debut as co-producer on this album. Pena and Perez, co-produced "Ya veras", and "No hay nadie igual como tu", which to the American public is better known as "Can't take my eyes off you", which was covered by Lauren Hill.
Overall, I feel that Jennifer is on the track of become one of the most successful artist in the Latin/Pop world. I have rated this album five stars for the reason that her music remains solid, her vocals still seem to amaze me, and we now are able to see her as singer/producer.
So the question still remains...What does seduction mean? My answer would have to be...listen to Jennifer Pena's "Seduccion" album, and you will be a step closer to finding out.

This album has beautiful heartfelt ballads such as "Vivo y muero en tu piel","Hasta el fin del mundo" and "Para Olvidarte de Mi",also some uptempo numbers such as"Aunque me Cuesta la Vida".This is definetly a recording worth owning and listening to.Look out there is a version of this release which includes a Dvd with the music video to "Vivo y Muero en tu Piel" and some extra material.I would be happy if Jennifer records more material like this in the future.She seems to really shine when it comes to warm heartfelt ballads.This is a must buy!

I've been a fan of Jen's since she first released her debut album "Dulzura". I have all of her cd's including "Seduccion".
I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews of how much more mature she sounds on this cd. Her music is extremely awesome. I do agree that Jennifer has a way different style then selena did. Selena and Jennifer are both great and they always will be. I know that Jennifer is going to continue more with her music career and her cd's that she puts out in the future are going to be outstanding.

Jen take us inside a world we don't want to leave and I love every song on here. Her voice is so nice and she does remine me of Jessica Andrews who is another singer. Jen brings life, love, and joy to her music and I am glad I pick up this cd.

It has been three albums now that she's been solo, and she still has not come close to being as good as she was when she was fronting Y Los Jetz. And her new pornstar image is just beyond bizarre. She needs to leave that look to the Pilars and the Gisselles.

AM NOT A BIG WOMEN FAN IN TEJANO MUSIC, EXCEPT ELIDA,AND SHELLY, BUT JENNIFER YOU DID SOME GOOD WORK IN THIS LATEST CD, ITS GOOD, IF YOU LIKE JENNIFER PENA MUSIC THIS ONE IS GOOD, HEY JENNIFER WAS ON TV A WHILE BACK AND MAN SHE HAS A BAD ADDITUDE, SHE WAS MEAN TO HER FANS, RECENTLY SHE WAS ATTACKED SO MAYBE SHE LEARNED A LESSON
