Book Description

"He knew that no matter what, he had to have her. She was like the one gleaming apple in a barrel full of rotten mush. He knew that she would be juicy, delicious, and devastating, like the apple Eve had bitten into before the dawn of time."

She was from Royalty. He was an American bad boy. She had stuffy morals. He had no intention of taking "No" for an answer.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointing October 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A royal who just wants someone to love her for her and not her position, blackmail, a sexy guy. This story had the bones of a good romance novel.

But...The characters just weren't there. Our female main character just wasn't believable...being struck down to the point of even offering herself sexually to her blackmailer because of a few pictures? It just doesn't jive and makes her seem childish and weak, the things she is repeatedly telling everyone she is not. The villian was so over the top as to be cartoonish. The male main character had some hope though he went from arrogant ass who just wanted another notch on his belt to madly in love without any explaination or growth inbetween but ended up being an ass again in the end

And the ending....oh my god...why on earth did the author decide to end the story there? You left the reader with absolutely nothing positive.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing October 18, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
While the book was OK it dragged a little. I so wanted Matilda to be happy. I hate when Authors just end the story the way this one did. So many are doing this now. Why can't anyone just write a whole book anymore. I would rather pay more and read a whole story than pay $3. $3. etc to just read what I would consider snip its. I guess I will never know the end to the story and I will not continue to pay for little pieces. Thank goodness I got this free on amazon. Very disappointing to say the least.

1.0 out of 5 stars Is the author, by any chance, 20? October 19, 2013
By lamjmm
Format:Kindle Edition
The ending was disappointing but the whole book was a bit much. Romeo and Juliet were 13 and 14. For all the protestations of the maturity of a 20 year-old(and don't forget the over-the hill sister entering an arranged marriage at 22)the characters behaved as though they lived in the 13th century. He is apparently a Luddite who scorns cell phones (and by extension, one assumes the internet). She, a sheltered royal, is in the States with only a creepy rapist bodyguard? How about the Embassy? How about calling the police? You have to know that he is going to turn out to be a prince in disguise. Did she ever Google him? What 20 year-old girl doesn't Google a new guy she meets. Especially after having unprotected sex? I spent much of the book wanting to shake her. And, no, exposure and embarrassment in the tabloids is NOT worse than sexual exploitation.

3.0 out of 5 stars well.... October 27, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It wasn't horrible. It had love, loss and betrayal. A few times the wrong name was used Colin for Damien and vise versa. Now sex...that was hot!
