5.0 out of 5 stars Mmmm, More Gateau, Please!, January 27, 2000
By
This review is from: Seduction by Chocolate (Leisure romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Eliza's Gateau by Lisa Cach, one of the four stories in Leisure Books new anthology, Seduction by Chocolate, is enchanting! And, like naive Eliza, an American tourist travelling alone in Europe, I, too, fell head over heels in love with sexy Sebastian and his to-die-for accent! The mood of the story is sweet, yet also very sensual, in the deepest, truest meaning of the word. The reader will taste the chocolate, morsel by luscious morsel, will hear the soaring music, note by glorious note, will climb the spiral staircase, step by arduous step--and thrill to sexy Sebastian's kisses. A beautiful, sensual romance, Eliza's Gateau is as satisfying as a ballotin of the finest Belgian chocolates!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hot!, December 29, 2002

This book is so hot that it should be renamed "Melted Chocolate"! These four stories sizzle with seduction yet manage to develop likeable characters along the way (this is the only romance anthology to earn a place on my "keeper" shelf). Sweet Sin by Nina Bangs is about a chocolatier who must sculpt a man from chocolate ... too bad that her model is her ex-lover bent on seducing her! Eliza's Gatueau by Lisa Cach - probably the best of the four - involves a young innocent travelling alone through Europe who meets a mysterious and sensual stranger on a train. Meltdown (Thea Devine) is the story of a no-nonsense events coordinator, determined to keep a "professional" relationship with her gorgeous client (who is determined to break through her resolve). Buy this book - you won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Salute from a fellow author!, January 27, 2000

'Sweet Sin' by Nina Bangs is the perfect story for Valentine's Day--or any day, come to that! Sweet, romantic, innovative, hilarious--and hot enough to melt chocolate! I just couldn't put this story down! Maggie, Matt and their sizzling prom-night memories really struck a chord--and will do the same for countless other readers, I know. Please accept a sincere salute from a fellow anthology author, Nina! Definitely a 5 star read!

5.0 out of 5 stars FOR THE SWEET TOOTH, February 13, 2001

SEDUCTION BY CHOCOLATE consists of four short romance stories which would be enjoyable to anyone who believes in love, but especially to those who can attest to the aphrodisia connection to rich chocolate. These stories, by different authors, each with unique writing styles, offer us "feel-good" vibrations. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it as curl-up along with your favorite box of Godivas, Sees, Hershey's, Hawks, Wolfgang's, etc... etc... etc... Umm!

5.0 out of 5 stars Seduction by Chocolate makes chocolate seductive, September 3, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Seduction by Chocolate (Leisure romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Every story in this book made my mouth water for chocolate and my heart race for each one of the romantic men in here. They never let love die in the first story. In the second romance is never far away in a foreign country. The third romance proves that you can find romance in the workplace. The fourth proves that even well meaning friends can get it right when they fix you up. All the authors bring to life a different love, in a different way yet it all comes down to chocolate.

4.0 out of 5 stars delicious reprint of a 2000 anthology, December 27, 2006
This review is from: Seduction by Chocolate (Leisure romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
"Sweet Sin" by Nina Bangs. Matt Davis persuades his partner Ann Hawkins to make a statue out of chocolate of a naked man for a bachelorette party they cater. Ann agrees only if Matt is the subject.

"Eliza's Gateau" by Lisa Cach. In Brussels, sophisticated restaurateur Sebastian St. Germain notices the pretty naive American female traveling by herself with too much baggage. Eliza Mandish on a European trip sees the stylish Sebastian and knows he is out of her league.

"Meltdown" by Thea Devine. Event planners Donna Cavalero and Jessica Demont work extra hard to insure that the political fundraiser for Matt Greer is a success. However, both females learn that measuring success may not be in the amount of money raised, but in the respective hunk they desire.

"Seducing Sydnee" by Penelope Neri. Agricultural engineer Sydnee Frost travels to Costa Rica to help Cord Westridge save what is left of his cocoa plants. Upon meeting Cord, Sydnee wonders who can save her heart.

These four tales of SEDUCTION BY CHOCOLATE are delicious reprint of a 2000 anthology starring likable lead characters who understand death by sex and chocolate (you will not believe some of the applications that sound sinfully sweet and salty).

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME BOOK, February 10, 2010

This review is from: Seduction by Chocolate (Leisure romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
I checked this book out at the library first. I LOVED IT!!!!! Had to get it for myself. Unfortunatly no book store around here had it, but luckly I found it on Amazon.com. I loved the 4 short stories that all revolved around chocolate. 2 of the stories will always be my all time favorites. Eliza's Gateau, an american travel to brussels for holiday and meets a man who makes her crazy, he cant seem to leave her alone. In a matter of 3 days she's ready to return to the U.S. but not without finishing her "dream". Seducing Sydnee, a workaholic is sent to Costa Rica to help a chocolate farm fight disease's that could wipe out his farm, but little does she know she is being set up by her roommate and her roommates boyfriend who just happens to be Sydnee's boss. Her roommate switches her clothes in her luggage from her usual baggy pants and oversized shirts to sexy clothes. Sydnee doesn't find out until she gets to the hotel and then there is little she can do until the next morning. She decides to take a swim and meets Dangerous, one thing leads to another and they end up in Dangerous's room. The next day Sydnee finds out the Dangerous is the farm owner who she is going there to work for. But back in her baggy clothes she hopes he doesn't recognize her. The other 2 stories are good also. Very few books I can read over and over again and this is defenatly one of them.
