On his way to formerly propose to the woman he must marry to secure an alliance for his clan, Alaric McCabe is attacked and barely flees alive. He and his horse somehow make it to a cottage in the woods and he promptly falls off his horse and passes out. Keeley is stunned to see a mysterious man near her home but as she is a healer, she knows she must tend to his wounds. Her first problem is how in the world to get this man into her home and I have to say, it was pretty funny. As Keeley is tending to Alaric, he goes in and out of consciousness calling Keeley his angel or his devil but he sorely loves when she curls up to him to stay warm. Alaric is quickly discovered by his brothers and Ewan, with his typical high handedness, takes Keeley with to tend to Alaric and also his wife. Keeley is very upset by this, but as she has been tossed out by her clan and she has already developed feeling for Alaric, she goes.

Alaric is stunned by the feelings he feels for Keeley, they are unlike anything he has ever felt before but he knows his duty is to his clan and it is tearing him up. When Keeley learns of Alaric engagement, and to whom, she is very saddened as she has already grown to love this strong, fierce man but also knows that nothing can come between them as the woman he is to marry, is Keeleys sister in heart. As time passes and their attraction grows, they decide to live in the moment and cherish the memories they will make forever. And those memories are smokin! When the truth of what happened to Keeley and her clan is finally revealed, it is a huge source of anger for Alaric and his brothers. But as the king has now approved of Alarics marriage and is planning on attending, Alaric knows his duty is to his clan, not his heart.

Oh, the ending of this book.... Sigh...have some tissues handy because you are going to need them! You hope you know how it will play out but there is always that bit of uncertainty and Maya Banks will take you through the ringer to get the answers you want. Alaric, sigh....really, thats all I can say, lol. He is just sighworthy by the end. And Keeley, in search of a sense of belongness is so happy to finally fit even though her heart breaks. Together, they are a couple you will root for even while you don't want to see the clan falter as a result. Overall, since I needed some tissues for tugging my heart strings, 5 stars. Read more ›

This book is definitely a keeper from the very beginning until the end, every emotion was revealed and could be felt by the reader! The characters had defined personalites and were shown in every word and deed to be people a reader would like to know and talk with about many things. Alaric is my hero! His love for Keeley is one of my favorite love stories, EVER!
Please buy and read this book, it's even better than the first book, In Bed with a Highlander, which was a great book!!

I didn't think Ms. Banks could pull off another romance as enchanting as In Bed with a Highlander but I was so wrong! Seduction of a Highland Lass blew me away with its exquisite love story!! I honestly cannot recall when a novel has gotten to me so much that I was literally in turmoil thinking about the couple being torn apart. I started reading this at eleven at night and thought I'd just read a bit before I went to sleep but I couldn't put it down!... Four hours later I finished Seduction of a Highland Lass amidst tears and fell asleep with a huge smile on my face. As a child, I remember my mom telling me stories of grand romances. The kind that could sweep you away to another time and make you feel as though you were there. Well Seduction of a Highland Lass is one of those. I absolutely felt ensconced within this phenomenal romance novel.

I'm in love with the McCabe men and all the people of their clan. Reading the second book in the series felt like visiting family. The warriors are delectable and the women are indomitable. Alaric and Keeley's love may be forbidden but it's impossible to resist! From the moment he opens his eyes and calls her his angel I was swept away. Phew...the heat that stirs between Alaric and Keeley is so hot you have to be careful not to get burned. Their story is not one I will soon forget! The McCabe series is rapidly becoming my favorite of all time! It's not necessary to read the first novel to follow this fabulous series but I highly recommend that you read them in order; it only enhances the glorious experience. I'm so in love with the McCabes I cannot wait to read Caelen's story. Run out and find your own copy of Maya Banks Seduction of a Highland Lass I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this enticing sublime story!

This is what love is all about- Maya Banks. I can't get enough of her skilled writing. I loved and laughed and cried so hard I swore I was a part of this family. Where do we find men like Alaric and women like Keeley? The depth of emotion is exhausting but very welcoming. I felt alive after reading the second novel. OMG the love scenes are so.. so...so... I wished I could go back in time to live them myself. Bring out the tissues in the last couple of chapters, you are seriously going to need them. 'Tis the grandest of love to be felt. Good on you Maya, keep up the great work. I have read lots of Highlander romance novels, this by far makes the heart skip a beat. And no I don't think the story lines in any of the series sounds familiar to others.

I've read about 10 highlander novels by different authors in the past 2 months and this is the first in which the hero knew he loved the heroine from the beginning. Usually they fall in love kicking and screaming the whole way. In all the other stories the hero and heroine were forced to get married due to circumstances, in this story they couldn't get married for the same reason but in the end love wins out!
