Product Description

Ted Grassley adopts and mentors Bill Bradley from high school to manhood. Ted is a CEO with deep pockets. Although married for forty years, he is bisexual. Bill, caught in the throws of Ted’s lifestyle, complicates matters when he meets Jina Cook, a straight, attractive young lady. The two feel an instant attraction toward each other but both try to pretend it is not happening. Finally, Jina makes the first move and Bill knows he can't live without this woman. Unfortunately, Bill has a big secret; he is bisexual and finds himself torn between Jina and Ted, his male lover and father figure. Deep inside Bill wants a regular life with a wife and children but guilt makes him think twice. This spontaneous and deeply gratifying tryst throws him off balance. What happens when Mr. Bradley reveals his bisexuality to the only woman he’s ever loved? An emotional war. The Seduction of Mr. Bradley is a moving and powerful story of love, humankind, secrets and discovery.

From the Author

This is my debut novel. It was difficult to write because I am a seasoned female. Even so, my belief in love and humankind drove me to speak through Mr. Bradley.

4.0 out of 5 stars Down Low No More?, August 20, 2007
Bill Bradley is a good-looking, charming, and hard-working public relations professional but his world is about to be turned upside down in Minnie E. Miller's novel, The Seduction of Mr. Bradley. Jina Cook is an author in need of a public relations representative and Bill wants to be all that and more. In Jina, Bill has met the woman that could turn his world inside out and make him flip the script - literally. Bill is bisexual and when he falls in love with Jina, he becomes torn between the only woman he has ever loved and Ted, the man who has not only been his lover, but his friend and mentor as well. Ted has always been there for Bill. Bill has a heavy burden. How does he deal with the guilt and choose between the woman he loves and the man who has given him so much? And will Jina stay by his side when she finds out his secret?

In The Seduction of Mr. Bradley, Minnie E. Miller weaves an interesting tale that takes us into the lifestyle of a bisexual male. The characters in this story are well developed and realistic. Even if you do not approve of a gay, bisexual, or "down-low" lifestyle, you will find yourself rooting for Bill as simply a human being trying to find what is really in his heart. The imagery and detail were on point and emotions were high in this novel. You will be glued to the page wondering how it all comes together. Be ready to be surprised. I am very interested to find out what else Ms. Miller has in store for these characters.

4.0 out of 5 stars Things aren't always what they seem, March 19, 2007

Jina Cook is a novelist who needs a public relations representative and she finds him in Bill Bradley who is handsome, well spoken and smart. The two feel an instant attraction towards each other but both try to pretend it is not happening. Finally, Jina makes the first move and Bill knows he can't live without this woman. Unfortunately, Bill has a big secret; he is bisexual and finds himself torn between Jina and Ted, his male lover. Ted is not only his lover but his father figure and the man who rescued Bill when he felt the desperate need for love. He was there for him when he graduated from college, too, to mentor him. Bill's father disappeared when he was quite young and he has always longed for a father and Ted fills that position. Ted also backs his budding PR business and helps him with the business. Bill's decision is tough. Will he drop Ted, despite all the guilt he feels at doing so? Or will he drop Jina? Deep inside he knows he wants a regular life with a wife and children but guilt makes him think twice.

THE SEDUCTION OF MR. BRADLEY is an inside look at what a bisexual male can go through as he searches for what's missing in his life. Minnie E. Miller has done a superb job of describing the pain both Bill and Jina feel about Bill's alternative lifestyle. She describes Bill's life of want and need as a young man very thoroughly and shows Jina has some of the same issues. You find yourself pulling for Bill to just let Ted go but at the same time, you can understand the guilt and pain he must be experiencing at the thought of letting go of the only love he's ever known. Ted is an equally well developed character who exhibits gargantuan selfishness. The ending cries out for a sequel. I feel a desperate need to find out what happens next in these characters lives.

In The Seduction of Mr. Bradley, author Minnie E. Miller guides you through the life of Bill Bradley, a bisexual man torn between his love for a straight woman and the affection for his lover, also a bisexual man.

Miller delicately weaves a loving, yet twisted tale of lust, sexuality and drama that is sure to please the reader in you.

Tastefully and eloquently written, Minnie Miller is an author you'll read more about in the future.

Bravo!

More About the Author

Minnie E. Miller presently resides in her native state of Illinois in the Chicago Hyde Park community, though she has lived in many cities over a forty-year period. She suffered wanderlust and traveled to London, Paris, Jamaica, and many United States cities where she met individuals of all persuasions. Her writing started with personal journals in grammar school. Miller is a news junkie and an activist as a result of working in politics since eighteen.

Her literary career grew strong wings in March 2003, when she published a book of short stories titled "Catharsis." Her stories touch on political and social issues in metaphor. "The Seduction of Mr. Bradley," published in November 2006, is a political as well as a spiritual statement on humankind and love.

Miller is a seasoned writer and fresh voice in the book industry.

Miller spent fifty-three years in the workforce. Her last full time job was with the office of the Mayor of San Francisco as special assistant to his press secretary. She co-authored "The San Francisco Mayor's Summit for Women: Summit Report 1998." She retired in 1999, left San Francisco for Atlanta, Georgia, and freelanced in City Council's Communications office. Heeding a whisper from her subconscious, she returned to Chicago. Balanced against age, unable to sit still, she took a part-job in the newsroom at NBCChicago working audience service phones. She left the workforce behind in May 2004, lives alone, and devotes all her time writing and all things involving the book industry.

What's coming next?

"Whispers From The Mirror," women's fiction with a paranormal slant.

Belle Deville is a civil rights lawyer, news commentator and career-driven mother. Her passion is fighting against sex discrimination for working mothers. She drills courage, distrust for the opposite sex and independence into her only child--she doesn't find time for much else. Before her death, Belle is inextricably committed to her careers. Her efforts with raising her daughter is less than stellar.

As a result, Brianna Deville hides behind a mask of feminism. Belle's lessons causes her to deny certain facts about her life and the need to explore love. She declares herself celibate to avoid men. The love and faith she places in her mother prevents her from addressing these issues sitting in the back of her mind. Just thinking about questioning Belle's values weighs on her heart and raises feelings of guilt. Who is her father? And why hasn't her mother talked about him? Better still, why hasn't he showed himself to her?

How do you love Brianna? She is a fighter for women's rights and her wall of defense is higher than the Great Wall of China.
