Another great book by Ginie Polo Sayles- although nothing will ever outdo "How to Marry The Rich"- this book goes a little beyond that one and gives some wonderful tips , especially in the sexual dept.Alot of it is the same type of stuff that is in her first book , though, just recycled. If you don't have the first book - (it's OOP) get THIS ONE!! It's great!!

I think this was my first dating book ever; I got it as a freshman but I didn't REALLY follow her suggestions until I did everything MY WAY and failed (like 3 years later).I remember her advice that dating is a numbers game and to keep my attitude on dates to be learning about what is wonderful and unique about each man I was dating. I also recall that there is such a thing as "dating chemistry" and a cycle of interest-and-losing interest and how bona-fide relationships can weather this problem. Her suggestions on clothing may not be directly applicable depending on where you live and how old you are; but she is/was very specific about what to wear. But being "classy" I guess holds true for most people, but I don't like to be told what kind of earring I should wear (and her suggestions are VERY BASIC! eg. pearl earrings, hoop earrings, diamond studs.) Bear in mind though that this book was written before the era of internet dating. So yes, it is a bit outdated in that sense, but I still think this book deserves at least a 4 star rating, because she was one of the few, very brave women to talk about dating well before any of the other dating books came on to the scene! A lot of the books that have sprung up recently focus so much on different channels of how to meet men and the fears that modern working independent women have; and so few have the kind of "juice" and "insight" to men-women dyanmics that Ms. Sayles shares in her books. I don't agree with all of her opinions though; and some women may feel discomfort with things she candidly says such as... men prefer younger women because of how their spines curve MORE than that of an older woman. She suggests women to practice showing off the curve more whatever age you are to attract men. This may be and probably is true - but a part of me wonders... yes, if the man I'm seeking is only into my looks/curve... would I truly feel loved. So all in all, yes, her idealogies of men-women dynamics tend to be less about intellectual stuff and more about physical-emotional stuff. Anyhow. I was suddenly remembering how that dating chemistry & dating more than one guy (numbers game) TRULY worked for me, and how the book deserved a comment on that note. :-) It works! FYI, another book with a completely different tone, with a much more updated appeal is Cindy Lu (sp?)'s book called The Four Man Plan. She takes the numbers game theory to a whole new level and totally helps you how to actually date many men & NOT get overwhelmed with the chaos of dating more than one guy. OK. Good luck! & Ms. Sayles, thank you for your courage to share your dating wisdom! (I'm giving it 4 stars because after reading the whole book, I felt like I couldn't just be ME and find the right guy; it felt like I had to present myself a CERTAIN WAY in order to find true love.)
