A Great Read For Anyone To Enjoy!,
This review is from: Holy Seduction (Peace In The Storm Publishing Presents) (Paperback)
First Lady of Oakdale Baptist Church Denise Tate has a lifestyle women would envy. She has a beautiful home in the suburbs. Her husband, Senior Pastor of Oakdale Baptist, makes sure his wife is satisfied. And to top if off, Denise has an overflowing bank account. So, why would a woman like this be unhappy and sneaking around behind her husband's back?
Senior Pastor Randy Tate is completely clueless as to what his beautiful "devoted" wife has been doing. While he's doing God's work, his wife is doing the work of the devil. There's a saying "What's done in the dark. will come to the light." Soon, First Lady Denise will find out that you cannot always have your cake and eat it too. Sometimes, you might choke. With her husband unaware of all the sins she was committing, Denise was determined that her past and present would not be known to her husband. She will go to great lengths to make sure that Pastor Tate does not find out anything. That's until Tyrone decides that it's time that the Pastor should know what his First Lady has been doing. Now, when an unexpected situation comes up, will Denise tell her husband everything or just pray that the storm will pass? Holy Seduction puts you in the mind of some congregations that praises Jesus from 10:30-12:30 (church hours). Once the people hit the street, it's business as usual, and we're not talking about God's business. This novel will make you laugh, cry, shout, and praise God. While reading this book, you can possibly familiarize yourself with some of the characters. They may remind you of people in your family, friends, or even in your church. There were a few errors here and there, but not enough to criticize. Holy Seduction was a great read. Reviewed by Jackie for Urban Reviews

Everything In The Church Ain't Saved,

The first lady of Oakdale Baptist Church, Denise Tate, has everything an ordinary woman could pray for. Even with her beautiful home, fancy candy apple red Mercedes, and her strong, loving, Christian husband-she is unsatisfied. Contrary to her actions, Denise entered her marriage with Pastor Randy Tate with high expectations and good intentions; after all she maintained her virginity for her husband. Holding on to Randy's protective and gracious promises of fulfilled material desires and eternal love, she had been eager to give him her all. When Denise's best friend Terri notices her boredom early in her marriage, she offers what any good friend would--a night on the town. A sweet and innocent evening amongst friends soon turns Denise's life in a direction she has not planned, but finds herself living it and loving it.
Living with decisions she made that night, Denise juggles a few men besides her husband with careful precision and grace. She soon finds herself in a situation that threatens to reveal her long-time indiscretions and end her marriage forever. Will Denise shape up and fall under the loving grace of God in time enough to save her marriage, or will the revelation of her scandal be too much to gain the forgiveness of her husband? Jessica A. Robinson's HOLY SEDUCTION is captivating from page one. The characters and issues are believable and realistic. As you flip through the pages of this novel you will find yourself doing everything from gritting your teeth in anticipation of what stunt Denise is going to pull next to feeling sorry for her in what she might have just gotten herself into. HOLY SEDUCTION is an entertaining and enlightening read about the good, as well as the shady going-ons in the church. Reviewed by LaToya S. Watkins for The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

Holy Seduction By Jessica A. Robinson
Holy Seduction stands on its own when it comes to depicting the typical first lady. Denise however was not the bible gripping, sit on the first pew kind of first lady. Talk about a women who wanted to have hers and then some. If you think you know it all from books set in the church you are mistaken. This book is so different that I had to take a second glanced at what I was reading. Jessica Robinson did a awesome job creating a first lady you will love to hate with her shallow mind, cheating demeanor, and selfish attitude. I don't know if you all are ready for this one. I recommend it highly. Tamika Newhouse AAMBC Reviewer

This is a GREAT read about issues that we all struggle with. Yet as the Word says what is done in the dark WILL come to the light! A reminder to heed to your convictions and allow the LORD to change you before caught up.

The only reason I bought this book was because of the sample...it seemed very interesting and would have been had it not been for all of the missing words, terrible grammar and childish-like writing. What happened to the editors?? I found myself putting words in and re-reading sentences with the proper grammar. That really took away from the whole essence of the book.

Initially, based on the topic of this book, I thought it was going be a sexually graphic tale. I mean there is a First Lady who can't seem to get enough sex OUTSIDE of her marriage to her Rev Hubby, to me that means a sizzling novel! By the reviews I'd read and how people were saying that this First Lady was OUT THERE BIG TIME, I thought for sure it was gonna be a little X-RATED!! Actually, this book was not steamy at all. There was PLENTY of sex but there were no graphic details, the book was actually very clean!
After the first couple of chapters I thought the book wasn't going to be able to hold my attention because it was all about SEX and there wasn't any steam...lol! To my surprise as I read on I found myself REALLY enjoying the book quite a bit! It was very well written (although there were several typos) and the story flowed very nicely. Yep, the First Lady was out there getting it every chance that she could and the Rev. Hubby was a good as good could be. We all know whats done in the dark for TOO LONG will come to light and hence the story unfolds! I really enjoyed the book a lot and I am hoping that there is a part two because the ending left a lot to be desired! Kudos to Ms. Jessica Robinson because she is a very good story teller and I can see a bright future ahead for her! Anyone who can write a story about a person who is basically a SEXAHOLIC, leave out the steamy details and still make the book a VERY GOOD READ is pretty damn good! Now come on Jessica, we need a SEQUEL because there is defnitely a story left to tell!!! Don't wait too long to give us book 2, readers don't like that! Great Job girl!

Holy Seduction by Jessica Robinson is a very special book. Being a Street Lit Author, that's what I like to read so if the book isn't Street Lit, it takes a unique book to capture my attention and hold it. Holy Seduction does just that. It uniquely captures the pitfalls and dangers that goes on in the house of the lord and does so with an energy and flair that keeps you reading. The ending was so off the chain, I had to read it twice. Big ups to my Ohio sister! J-Rob brought the pain with this novel!

First Lady Doesn't Always Finish First.,
This review is from: Holy Seduction (Peace In The Storm Publishing Presents) (Paperback)
First Lady Denise puts new meaning into the word "holy roller", she is not one to roll on the church floors, and unfortunately her rolling is between the sheets of various lovers. Denise is a Pastor's wife who is neglected by a hubby who her gives her the good life naturally but spiritually and emotionally things are falling apart, unbeknownst to him. Instead of of communicating this to him, she takes her energies into focusing on anything that's tall, dark and handsome that catches her attention. Things seem to be flowing in her favor til she starts realizing one of her lovers Tyrone, who is obsessed with Denise is not looking for a "wham bamm, thank you ma'am" but wants a real relationship with her. Denise has no intentions of leaving her good life but soon she finds out that life is not about "having your cake and eat it too", but rather life is dictated by "what a man soweth that shall he reaps." I enjoyed reading this book because it brings a lot of realistic issues to the forefront.
One thing is that those in ministry must not neglect their natural families and homes and focus solely on their spiritual families. There has to be a balance there. Many times those who people feel have the good life have the greatest struggles and battles within. Unfortunately instead of looking to God for the source of the strength, many set out to feed the vices that's calling them to destruction. The wonderful thing readers will get out of this book is about sometimes, forgiveness and redemption comes knocking at the door with a bang!
