More About the Author

Vivienne LaFay is a prolific writer of romantic erotica, living in England. She is author of the Naughty Nineties trilogy and 'Artistic Licence' - all previously published as Black Lace books. She also writes sexy novels for women under the name of Vanessa Davies, and erotica aimed at couples, under the name of Rebecca Ambrose.

Her erotica for men is written under the name of Nadine Wilder, and she has also written some 'spanking' novels, for the Chimera imprint, as Rosanna Challis. Most of her work is available in Ebook format in the Amazon Kindle Store.

As well as the erotica series, Vivienne has also written a steamy romance - 'The Rock Star's Secret Wife' - under the name of Rebecca Ambrose.

Here are some reviews of this author's work:

'It is obvious the writer has put a lot of thought into avoiding the old cliches . . . Indeed, given the fact that Rebecca Ambrose under a variety of other names, is perhaps the most prolific writer of erotica working at the moment, the writing is amazingly without cliché and not at all boring . . . The characters are well rounded and, above all, believable.'
CARESS, UK erotica newsletter. Reviewer, David Weldon

'Talented authoress of Britain's very best super-sensual novels, like Dickens she is a pioneer. . . this modern literary icon writes in the newly popular and 'cutting edge' sensual lines . . . the most versatile writer of the super-sensual British genre . . . '
ROMANTIC TIMES (US) reviewer Kathryn Falk

About THE WOMEN'S CLUB (Vanessa Davies)
'Read this in bed together and hands start to wander. It took us several nights to get to the end of the book . . . Non-stop sex that leaves you little choice but to join in.'
NEW WOMAN (British Women's Magazine)

About THE MISTRESS (Vivienne LaFay)
An intriguing mix of characters, history and sex . . . wonderful details about the suffragette movement and the exciting bohemian world of artists and intellectuals of the (early 1900s). Reading THE MISTRESS is like taking a walk through the turn of the century with a lovely friend.'
Adrienne, Review on website of Erotica Readers Association

The Seductress begins a trilogy about the sexy adventures of the heroine, Emma. It all begins in this book when, after several years of blissfully happy marriage, she finds out she is barren and unable to give her husband the all important heir. He betrays her trust and love by devising a plan to secure a child with another woman! She just can't live with his scheme (and who can blame her?) and picks up the pieces of her shattered heart and begins a new life for herself. She's determined to live life to it's fullest and, knowing she will never be able to have children, she seeks out and takes advantage and great pleasure in all of the sensual adventures that come her way.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The historical setting of the story made it all the more enjoyable and forbidden. The heroine is a realistic and strong character who goes after who she wants with a vengeance. She's not always likable and does some wicked things but under it all I felt she had a good heart. She seemed to prefer schooling young inexperienced males and females in the arts of love but does eventually meet her match in the form of a mysterious man who follows her on her travels and drives her wild each time their paths cross. There's nothing that I found overly kinky in this book. There are plenty of m/f, f/f, and group sex scenes. And all were written with a very sensual touch.

This book could actually be listed as a very spicy romance novel rather than a Black Lace erotica book.

In this story we follow our heroine, Emma, in the late 1800's as she travels Europe in search of adventure and mischief. Learning that she is barren, Emma takes it upon herself to leave her husband and then basically take a deep seated revenge on any young man that crosses her path by being the first 'woman' to seduce them. The un-erotic part of this book for myself is that many of these 'young' men are well into their 20's ..... in my mind thats not really seducing young men but rather doing them a favour ...

The book is well written and the characters well defined, but in the hot sizzling sex department that I would expect from Black Lace it fizzles rather than sizzles ...
