Fantastic Tie-In for Young Adults,
By
This review is from: See No Evil (Smallville Series for Young Adults, No. 2) (Mass Market Paperback)
When Lana Lang, Clark Kent's all-time love (even though she doesn't know it), asks him for help with the school play, he says yes in a heartbeat. Which is how he meets Dawn, a stuck-up, rich, phony, who has her heart set on attending Juilliard. Clark also meets Dawn's boyfriend, Mike, a fellow actor, who seems fed-up with his so-called loving girlfriend. So when a bunch of freak accidents keep happening to cast members of the school play, leaving Clark with the lead role, it appears that someone is taking this whole acting thing one step too far, and it's up to Clark, Pete, Lana, and Chloe to find out who it is, before someone ends up worse than hurt, and more like dead.Cherie Bennett and Jeff Gottesfeld did a fantastic job with SEE NO EVIL. The characters are written in such a fantastic way, that you can actually hear them saying their lines as you're reading. WARNING: This is a VERY short book, so if you're a fan of SMALLVILLE, I'd consider keeping a few more installments of this series at hand, as you will be craving more of Clark Kent and the gang when you're finished. Outstanding Tie-In Book!,
By A Customer
This review is from: See No Evil (Smallville Series for Young Adults, No. 2) (Mass Market Paperback)
See No Evil is a fabulous tie-in novel to the hit television series Smallville. The authors do a really great job of capturing the way that Clark, Lana, Pete, Chloe, and the whole gang speaks. The plot is about a girl with the power of disappearing, and it doesn't overwhelm the characters or the dialogue like sometimes happens on the television show. Because of Clark's superpowers, I could actually see how he could step into the lead role of a school play, especially if it would impress Lana. The book also has an awesome scene between Clark and Lex Luthor, where Lex makes mean comments about his own bald head like Cyrano made about his nose. All in all, I rate this book five stars, and hope that the authors write a lot more!
