This was a risk purchase, and definitely worth it.,

Ever buy something because the cover art was appealing or you liked the snazzy name?
I think at some point, everyone makes a risk purchase and most of the time the results are unpleasant. I purchased this CD after hearing "Danger" as soundtrack to the DDS PS2 game. Most people disregard the music played in the opening credits of a video game, but I know talent when I hear it. I ordered the CD immediately and I am still delighted with the purchase.

Even an old man likes it,

Yes, I admit it: I'm old. And I like this record an awful lot. I listen to a lot of jazz, R&B, and funk, and shades of those elements drew me to this record on first listen. It's funky, electro-beat-driven euro-pop with ethereal female vocals and it just plain works, even for an old fart like myself.
Another plus is that the record is very well recorded and mastered -- it has a huge sound but there is plenty of bass and a tidy mix. Vocal sound is very smooth with some electronic fading and whatnot. The music sounds simple but there is a lot going on in each mix -- occasional dissonance, some crunch, slamming beats, great vocals (throwaway lyrics, but that's to be expected) -- and it makes for a pretty smart funky modern kind of euro-pop record. The shocker is that the first five or six songs are all well written and interesting. After that it's a little repetitive, but that's true of many great records. Highly recommended.

Etro Anime's "See the Sound" was one of those CDs that I just happened to stumble across in the record store. Known to take dares on new acts, I was very impressed by this very ambitious and daring group at first listen. I didn't have to listen to it a couple of times like I do most albums to determine whether I like it or not..."See The Sound" immediately grabbed me with its heavy bass lines, refreshing grooves, dreamy melodies and infectious hooks. Lissette Alea's vocals are beautiful and strong enough to be compared to the likes of Gretchen Lieberum, Nelly Furtado and Geri Soriano-Lightwood (Supreme Beings of Leisure). Songs of note are "Endless", "Diablo", "Adonis", "Summer Rain", "Forgotten Love" and "All I Need." This will indeed be my soundtrack for this Summer!

A Perfect Sound (Final1y!),

Wow, ladies and gentlemen, you have got to purchase this cd right away, not only for the AMAZING music, but to show the artists that you support them 100 percent. With it's mixes of jazz and trip-hop, an amazing blend to say the least, Etro Anime is perfection to the last beat. The lead singer's voice is like a saccharine tinged Esthero (who, by the way, is amazing; check out "Breath From Another") with the subtle sounds of river water. I promise you that you will not be disappointed with this album; it is one of the few perfect albums to have come out in the past and present decade!

Wow -- I had never heard of this group before I heard one of their songs ("Danger") in a video game of all things. I hunted them down, bought the album, and fell in love. I've seen other reviews call this reminiscent of Sade, which I guess it is, but what it reminds me of most is neo-soul with a dash of new age. The lead singer's voice is an incredible instrument. Going to recommend it to all my artsy video gaming friends. =)

Etro Anime music is hard to describe. With the Cuban born Lissett Alea as the lead vocalist, they provide listeners with an array of sounds. Whether it's the jazzy sound of Diablo or the pop sound of Endless, SEE THE SOUND has a song for everyone. If you like house music, jazz, pop, or dance, this CD would be an added addition to your collection. The music is neo-electric and with the talented members of Etro Anime playing their hearts out and Lissett's hypnotizing voice, you will not be disappointed with SEE THE SOUND.ETRO ANIME is a group to keep your eye on.

One of my favorite CDs of all time! I luckily stumbled upon this CD at a record store listening booth and can't believe I've never heard of the group before. The music can best be described as electronic jazz, but the female vocals are somewhat reminiscent of Sade, without being as mainstream or commercial as Sade. Very sexy stuff! Listen to it and fall in love.

I've listened to Etro Anime since they first put their music up on MP3.com and they have gotten progressively better ever since. This album is a true example of how great their music is. Etro Anime has a bright future ahead of them.

Right when I heard this I fell in love. Singer is very similar with Esthero, but more subtle, and sweeter, and the beats are more intimate. Actually a lot of the music is very Esthero-esque. If you like Esthero you will love Etro Anime. Highly recommended.

This is one of the best cd's I have ever heard. Hot vocals and the borrowed influences of DnB, Trip-Hop, and Jazz flow nicely and it all has a realxed feel to it. Definetly the Cd to play when you are chillin with a few of your friends when having a cocktail.
