As an avid pomegranate consumer I get super annoyed with the time consuming task of deseeding my pomegranates not to mention the juice that sprays up and stains your clothes. I can't tell you how many shirts i have with a squirt here and a squirt there. This thing does it simply and easily and gets all the seeds out. I love simple things that work. Thank you

Products such as these rarely live up to their claims, but this one delivers. It requires a bit of banging with a spoon (easier without the flexible rubber dome - I placed the entire device in the kitchen sink instead to keep from getting spattered) and leaves behind some seeds, but overall it's the best way to de-seed a pomegranate that I've come across thus far.

This review is from: Seed Out 60 Second Pomegranate Deseeder
I saw this product in Cooks Illustrated and thought it would be worth a try. I was worried that the Deseeder wouldn't come in time for our pomegranate season, but it arrived a week earlier than the earliest delivery promise. At first I had difficulty getting the seeds out since my pomegranate didn't look quite like the one in the picture and was smaller. On the second attempt, I cut the pomegranate in half and then broke it into 3 pieces. This worked perfectly and I had seeds in less than a minute with NO MESS. Yes, I had to take a little of the pith out, but it was nothing like the old way of banging the fruit with a spoon and getting it all over. For the first time, I am looking forward to harvesting our pomegranates and storing the seeds instead of watching the fruit go to waste. Thank you HolyLand folks!
