Great continuation,

This review is from: Seed of Power (Paperback)
Wow. This just keeps getting better. Book two, Seed of Power, answers many questions raised in the first book, yet raises others, leaving the reader wanting more. The plot lines advance very well and the characters have a depth to them that is real and tangible. The breakneck pace, lyrical beauty and astonishing scope of the universe wherein the story is set give the series a Frank Herbert-like essence. The growing conflict between The Church of the Blessed Prophets and the remnants of the Imperium is wonderfully contrasted with the growing conflict between the Dei Glorium and her High Confessio as well as the tension between Ailanthus and Rohini. I can hardly wait for book three to come out.
