5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding learning experience for young kids
A teacher in one of my daughter's classes used this, and every kid in the class wanted his or her own immediately. What a great experience. The learning comes from placing the sticker stars on the constellation poster map, where the stars actually are positioned in the sky. 1.0 out of 5 stars Falling Stars
I thought it would be cool to construct the constellations on the ceiling of my newborn daughter's room in the exact location as the date and time she was born. I even wanted to include planets. It was awesome and beautiful when I finished. The twins were just over the East-North-East horizon, Orion was sightly higher in the East and BOOTE was on the Northwest horizon,...

A teacher in one of my daughter's classes used this, and every kid in the class wanted his or her own immediately. What a great experience. The learning comes from placing the sticker stars on the constellation poster map, where the stars actually are positioned in the sky. You can fill in the stars on the poster after you see them in the sky, or, you can look for them in the sky after you stick them on the poster. Either way, you get great learning and reinforcement opportunities. The poster can also be used in conjunction with history and mythology learning.

The stars stick perfectly well, permanently, when used on the poster as intended and described. rtfm.

I thought it would be cool to construct the constellations on the ceiling of my newborn daughter's room in the exact location as the date and time she was born. I even wanted to include planets. It was awesome and beautiful when I finished. The twins were just over the East-North-East horizon, Orion was sightly higher in the East and BOOTE was on the Northwest horizon, just to name a few. Within two weeks of getting them up, they started coming down. Imagine my horror when I found small stickers in reach of my newborn that had fallen from the ceiling. Scherwinn Williams Promar 400, Eggshell Dover White is the paint I used on her room four months earlier. This is a standard type latex paint so it was NOT the problem.

Cool idea but the stickers don't stick. Also, the glow only lasts a little over five minutes - a little longer if it is pitch black in the room.

I would give this 10 stars if only the stickers stuck.
