This review is from: Seeker (Paperback)
Family man Dave Walters takes his wife to a country inn for a celebratory birthday dinner. The restaurant owner is a smarmy, rather creepy character who nearly spoils the evening for them. On the drive home, Dave is startled by the sudden appearance of a young woman on the road. Wait, was she really there or just a figment of his imagination? And so the hauntings begin. The Seeker is a rather run of the mill ghost story that never quite attains the spookiness or drama needed to invoke fear or uneasiness in the reader. Not a bad story, just not great, with characters that don't quite come to life (dead or alive!) |
