I bought this book not being familiar with the author's prior works and was pleased to discover that it is a compendium of other books. It is organized simply and concisely in a way that enhances one's spiritual experience reading through it with additional exercises which are optional and bible readings. This book taught me a great deal about living in the Presence from an author who obviously "walks the walk". I recommend this book to Quakers and all who are seeking the Presence in their lives.

Short chapters start with a passage from the Bible and end with questions and task items. It is excellent for a daily or a weekly devotional reading. As a well respected and trusted writer, Foster has produced a short booklet to aid in spiritual disciplines. I've gone through it several times already, and I can't never get enough of it. Highly recommended as a supplement to your daily spiritual regiment!
