A CLARK CHRISTMAS TURKEY,
By Michael Butts (Berkeley Springs, WV USA) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) (HALL OF FAME REVIEWER) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: He Sees You When You're Sleeping (DVD)
Fans of the prolific Mary Higgins Clark will be familiar with her Christmas "suspense" motif---usually highly romantic and not too violent. Tis the season after all. In this mindlessly inane adaptatin of the book by Miss Clark and her daughter, Carol Higgins Clark, we find a heartless business broker killed by a golf ball. He goes to heaven and meets his guardian angel (awful performance from Greg Evigan), and is given a chance to get into heaven (he hasn't been all that good a boy you see) by helping a young girl and her mother, who are in the witness protection program, because mommy can put the finger on a notorious mob boss. The plot makes no sense, ergo:
1. All of a sudden, the dead guy can be seen and felt not only by the youngster and her mama, but by the bad guys....where did this come about? 2. Why would the witness protection program separate the mother from her daughter and mother and require additional men for protection? 3. Why does the hero have trouble finding the kidnapped daughter when elsewhere in the movie, all he has to do is just transport himself wherever he wants to go? Cameron Bancroft is useless in the lead role, and Erika Eleniak is wasted in a role that requires her to pout and sing awful jazz versions of "Silent Night" and "Jolly Old St. Nicholas." While I have enjoyed some of the other Higgins Clark adaptations, this one's lack of dramatic motivation leaves one wondering if Santa caught us sleeping during this one.

After death, do we get a second chance?,
This review is from: He Sees You When You're Sleeping (DVD)
OK, so some of the content reminded me of the original Home Alone in parts, and some might find it a bit corny, but if you are into family type movies, it is thought provoking...
What happens after we die? Is Heaven really our own creation? Do we get a second chance to redeem ourselves if we don't quite "get it" on the earthly plane? Also, do we stand up for what we believe even though our life may be threatened? All things that we will not know until it happens, but we can still ponder...

Erika is beautiful, as usual! That's it. I put this one in the "for future door stop" pile.

I love this movie, I saw it on Lifetime. I never knew that amazon carried these type of movies. I am so glad I learned about amazon.com. I used to get my moview from another company but when I asked for different movies they never carried it so that's why I did research to find another company. All along my children knew about amazon. com and they are the ones that told me about this site. I have been so happy and satisfied with them. But as far as this movie it is a great movie. I recommend it highly.
