Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Based on Sega Bass Fishing, this sequel delivers the same arcade-style gameplay but adds a number of new features, including a robust selection of 100 lures, the ability to cast anywhere, enhanced real-time monitors, and more. What's striking about Sega Bass Fishing 2 is the leap it makes in terms of realism. The fish move with an elegant fluidity, while the water appears amazingly real. That's because this game's lakes are modeled after real-life ecology. You'll also notice that SBF2 is stocked with markedly smarter fish. To prepare you, Sega adds the AI Angler, a computerized master angler who dispenses bonus lures and fishing tips.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, October 2, 2001

I was really looking forward to this game as I love Bass Fishing 1. However, dispite the reviews I read, and the listing that stated 1 or 2 players could play the game, only 1 player is available. Also, I have Bass Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing and really enjoy them both, but they worked to make this one more difficult, and were successful. However, if you just want to have fun for ten minutes and catch a few fish, they have made it too hard. Yes, serious fisherman might enjoy this aspect, but one of the reasons I don't enjoy real fishing is that I don't like to spend hours just waiting for a bite. They could have had easy, medium and hard settings for the different desires of people. My advise is save the $ and just buy the original version.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hard but fun, October 17, 2001

Well this time around you actually have to fish. The fish are hard to find and when you do find them they just stare at your lure. I really like this one but I can't get mine to work with the fishing rod; it wont cast. It doesn't have a button on the rod to cast with, so I have to use the regular controller. I think I just got a bad game because the rod works fine with the original bass fishing game. Overall I recommend, but it does take time to catch that first fish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sega Bass Fishing 2, April 5, 2008

This is the best game for the Dreamcast console and to date it is the best fishing game ever produced by anyone for any system. (Sorry WII fans, the fishing rod on the dreamcast makes the biggest diffrence.) This is a must have to complete a dreamcast gaming system. It is worth what ever price you have to pay. You've got to get this game, it's very fun.
