The BEST Arcade Stick available for Dreamcast.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
This is the best. No subsitutes. Even the flashy gloss alloyInteract Arcade Stick cannot compare with this one. I have found that Agetec has put a lot of effort into their creations, unlike Interact, who develops a whole load of bad quality items. If you are deciding to buy an Arcade Stick, buy this one. Even though it looks plain, it works excellently and is very, very durable. I personally like the simple, ergonomic design, but incase you doubt the quality of this fine product, ask someone who you know actually owns it. I have recommended this Stick to many, many of my friends. And not one has complained. Not one. So ignore all the rumors and the stories. This is definetely worth the money if you plan to play a lot of arcade-style fighting games, but then again, Arcade Sticks are generally multi-use. A good buy, trust me.

A better arcade stick for the Dreamcast can't be found.,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
This stick is really a must-have for fighting or other arcade games, or in fact any games that require a lot of simultaneous button presses and quick reflex action. Just to clarify, this stick does *not* simulate analog control - it is a purely digital stick, as all arcade sticks are. Also, Agetec is owned by CSK Enterprises - which also owns Sega. This is, in fact, the Sega arcade stick in Japan, and is actually a first party stick. The quality is as you would expect from a first party stick - it's well built, with components that for the most part feel true to the arcade. The one drawback to this stick is that it has a square cutout for the shaft of the stick itself, so games that require circular motions to pull off special moves can be tricky. This is most definitely not true to real arcade controls, but it's a fairly minor complaint on an otherwise excellent stick.

Arcade Feel,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
If you plan on playing any fighting games on your Dreamcast it would be a great idea to pick up at least one of these sticks. Designed by Sega and marketed in America by Agetec, it works especially well with games like Namco's masterpiece, Soul Calibur, and Capcom's 2-D fighters, such as Marvel vs. Capcom and Street Fighter Alpha 3. Although great for adventure games, the regular DC pad just doesn't cut it when it comes to pulling off the fireball style moves that fighting games are known for. The stick's exceptional design and sturdy construction make you feel like you've actually bought a piece of an arcade machine (which isn't too far off considering Sega's current arcade hardware, called NAOMI, is essentially identical to the Dreamcast). Though best for fighting games, it also works well with other arcade style games like NFL Blitz 2000. I, however, wouldn't recommend it if you only plan on playing Sonic style games (which is unlikely seeing as how the Dreamcast has become the fighting fan's system of choice). It may be a bit pricey, but it is well worth the money, especially considering the weak competition.

ASCII produces the highest quality products available,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
This joystick is perfection incarnate. The response is arcade-perfect, and the stick itself is contructed like a tank. It is heavy, durable, and has improved my experience with fighting games on the Dreamcast tenfold. Agetec used to be called ASCII, and they consistently put out the kind of products that all others are measured against. If you plan on playing any fighting games at all on the Dreamcast, buy this stick, period. You won't regret it. I certainly haven't. I give this controller the highest possible recommendation.

This controller is great,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
If youve ever played a game like street fighter or marvel vs. capcom you know that the standard controller just doesnt cut it. The arcade stick allows faster reaction with easier combinations of buttons. The only thing this joystick lacks is full programability, which isnt so bad if youre only using this for fighting games. DO NOT however buy this controller for games that have no indication on the back that they work with the joystick. On the back of the game case there should be an icon saying that the game is joystick compatible. The reason the joystick does not work with certain games is because programers did not put in a code wich recognizes joysticks.

ARCADE STICK---NOT-AGETEK,
By LILLIAN (pensacola, florida) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
We had the controller for three days and one of the wires had to be re soldered and one of the buttons keeps sticking. Would not buy this particular item again. Would try the AGETEK ARCADE STICK next time. Didn't realize I ordered the other brand when buying this item.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
Why, in this day and age of video games, Sega didn't go the extra mile to make SURE that its standard game pad was acceptable for ALL of the games in the Dreamcast spectrum, is beyond me. But, I don't have to tell you that, as a fighting game pad, the standard Sega pad reeks. Therefore, we must obtain proper equipment elsewhere. Enter Agetec's arcade stick. Simply put, buying this joystick has increased my enjoyment of SNK's KOF Dream Match'99 exponentially. Now, if I screw up Kim Kaphwan's Phoenix Flail, it's MY fault. No more blaming the stick, time to blame my apparently elderly reflexes. So, if you wish to ever properly experience one of the DC's many quality fighting game titles, you owe it to yourself to obtain this arcade stick. It is top-notch.

It's a stick for Fighting Games,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
People complaining about how this stick doesn't work with Sonic Adventure or Crazy Taxi are missing the point. But if you've used this bad boy in Soul Calibur you'll know why it's made. This stick feels like it was ripped right out of an arcade console.

Excellent!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sega Dreamcast Enforcer Arcade Stick (Video Game)
I Love this controller. The only fault is the somewhat flimsy design on the buttons, but everything else is perfect, Read the other reviews below for more specific details, because I had another thought in mind when writing this review. First off, this is the best stick on the market NOW, I love right by Interact, Inc. and I've went into their headquarters to use their stick which comes out in April, and it is much better. Sturdier, much better looking, more programmable, etc. But now for the meat: a couple reviews down some fool stated that the stick is not worth purchase unless you're a fighting game fanatic because it does not work well with other games or at all on others. The reason it does not become detected on some games is because the programmers didn't want to take the time to put in the extra code for the arcade stick when nobody would use it anyway because the style of gameplay is just NOT right for an arcade stick, like with Airforce Delta. You should review the stick on it's quality doing what it is supposed to do: effect you're performance in fighting games for the better! It does this feat very very well, almost perfectly, and it is SUPPOSED to be only for fighting games. I think the people who buy one of these will know whether it's something they need or not before they get it, because it's a pretty well-known fact amongst educated gamers that arcade sticks are for fighters!
