A killer app has been defined as the software that makes it worth buying the system. In the saturn's case, there's more than one killer app. For the Sonic Team fans, there was Nights Into Dreams. For the 3D shooter fanatics, there was Panzer Dragoon Zwei. And for those who just can't get enough of a good racing game... there is Sega Rally.

I have played a LOT of racing games in my time. I've played futuristic racers, arcade racers, motorcycle racers, water racers, you name it. But pound for pound, I have never seen a more addictive racing game with better track design.

Upon first examining this golden example of awesome programming, you might think you were ripped off. Three tracks (and one hidden one)? Two cars (and one hidden one)? Ahhh, but these are no ordinary tracks. These tracks are arcade perfect, featuring some of the sweetest, most stylish graphics to be seen on the Saturn. And the way the controls and track design mesh can only be described as MAGIC. You find yourself playing the same tracks over and over and over, trying to beat your best time. Trying to improve, trying to take those turns perfectly (and of course, trying to look cool watching the excellent replays).

Granted, Sega Rally 2 for Dreamcast is a great game, featuring awesome lighting, fun gameplay, and beautifully well designed tracks with loads of variations. But in my mind this game is superior. For pure, arcade style rally racing, this game simply cannot be beat.

This game has great arcade action. The graphics are great for the time and racing can get quite competetive. The only complaint I can make is that there are only two cars to choose from, but its still an awesome game.

hey.what a game i got it today it's got great graphics for a saturn game.it's got more tracks than daytona.i would recomend this over daytona or virtua racing or even need for speed.take care of this disc.

Start your engines! Sega Rally Championship is a great console version of Sega's arcade version. The sheer gameplay of Sega Rally is worth buying it right now.
Pros:
The driving experience is wonderful (power slides, dirt flying left and right, tires smoking over jumps), the music rocks on every screen/mode there is, and the courses are very well drawn(four in all.). The replay value on this game is enourmous!
Cons:
The navigator voice gets very annoying after a while. This can be avoided by using the code to race the courses backwards, though. The game is also hardly as much fun without the Arcade Racer wheel (which isn't too great to begin with). The two player mode cuts off the scenery too close for comfort, unless
both players have memorized the courses.

All in all, a DEFINATE must have for your saturn!! Take good care of this disc.

This is one of the best rally racing games for any platform . The way the car drives is great . Only thing I don't like is there are only three tracks .

I love the actions of this game! The power slide of the rally cars are very realistic. I only wish there are more cars to choose from and more courses to conquer.

I think this game rocks! The graphics are great, the sound is great, and the action is great! The only con about this game is the control. It responds slow. This game can not be missing from your SEGA Saturn collection.

Being into the racing sims, I would say that most of it was excellent and a lot of effort was put in. The only real flaw I see in the game is the selection of tracks. There's a basic 3 to start (Ranging from beginner to expert), and one secret course (Which I've raced on before). The control on the cars are mostly excellent, except for only a few blind corners that you have to floor the brakes and prepare for a lot of oversteer (And a possible spinout). But still definitely worth getting.
